Keepsake is amazing. They are truly a beautiful bunch of singers. They are one of my favorites, and have been ever since I got into barbershop. God bless them all, and their beautiful music.
Tim, that sounds flat to you? Sounds dead on to me. He's always done those notes at the end. For the record... this is the song that flat out won the World Championship for them in 1992.
@timsowter He's nearly dead on with pitch like murdock said but I would have to say he's still the teeny-tiniest bit sharp. I he made it slightly, and I mean slightly, the chord would lock and overtones would be glorious :)
Beautiful song, even despite the lack of rhyming text. Still such a beautiful text and melody. The harmony is written in the relative minor, but still uses the secondary dominants to give it a barbershop style. My favorite part is the "picardy third" as it modulates to it's relative major key at the end. On purpose? I think this is a Lou Perry chart.
Love the pronunciation of the word Picardy. Very amusing renidition of this classic song.
Not sure if it really lends itself to barbershop, but it wasn't bad. Love barbershop, by the way. And these guys are good, but still, the song isn't the greatest barbershop material

@decky1990 yes I was only being picky. Like I sid, superbly well sung. If I could sing half as well as that I would be happy

you've got to be kidding. I'd be interested to know what you think good Barbershop material sounds like.
