guards on sydney trains are even better; yesterday, as a freight train was going past, the guard announced: attention passengers, there is a piece of carbon tax passing us on the left; please don't tell the federal government. Thankyou.
More tube strijkes coming up soon folks. Yep, the tube drivers are treating the London Underground like it's run for their benefit (rather than for the benefit of the millions of Londers who actually pay for it to be there).
So let's try and get tube drivers scrapped - let's do away with these f*ckers and get some semblance of a modern tube service shall we???
@roverbhoy no, I'm a tube user. I'd rather see automated trains and have a tube service that's run for my benefit. It's my tube system. Maybe it's the union leaders I should be having a go at, rather than the drivers. I dunno.
watch out for tube drivers' prostitutes getting out of the driver's cab! Sit in the front carriage to see them. I saw one getting out at Covent Garden, dirty bugger!
@ferribyjim - Oi mate, no joke, I saw a very pretty lady summer short dressed get into a driver's cab at Finsbury Park. I thought it odd but then thought well I have seen and heard some women drivers (Eastern European looking/accent) so maybe she was a driver on a day off and has a boyfriend driver and they were meeting up? Hmmm... You can't help thinking...
I don't know tbh but seeing a pretty lady get into a cab arouses a few things... That being 'suspicions' if you know what I mean lol.
We had one driver in South Australia who liked to have a "quiet smoke on the side" before he'd set off,the problem for him that he was so "ripped"that he kept missing the stops where he should've stopped and stopping at the stations where didn't need to stop,it's true 'cause it was in the paper!don't know what happened to him.
on the 21st April 2009 I was on a bakerloo and the train was at wilsdern junction for 15 minuits and the driver was talking about what he is doing and finaly the train moved but he was was thinking that he was going to be put out of service at queens park which it did, and also yesturday the bakerloo line terminated at stone bridge park and she said something like "thanks for closeing the doors".
i remeber this driver back in 2002, to be honest couldn't catch this one, but surely remember this driver always telling funny jokes. it was the northern line or the central line, and yes, it was almost all of the time packed.
Happened to me to earlier this year. I took a tube ride lasting about 6 stops, and all the way the driver was banging on about keeping clear of the doors. "Some people might think it's not that important, but...blah blah...(2 minutes later)..blah blah... so try to keep that in mind."
Then we'd come to a station and depart and the whole thing would start again. Was very entertaining, thou.
I had a driver like that too on the central line. People kept running on the train when the doors where shutting and he kept telling people to mind the doors. It happened 2-3 stations in a row and you could here he was gettin more and more pissed off and when we finally got going with no trouble he started saying, look you don't jump on a plane when its taking off do you? I don't come opening the doors on your car while your driving do i? It was so funny you had to be there.
i had a driver similar to that. the doors carried on opening and shutting at bond street station on the deeper underground lines. and the driver said: For once we are running early so we are being held here for another minute, nothing to worry about as of yet. then a minute later the dors sut and opened and the driver said: oh for fucks sake, whose arsing around with the doors? when we finally left he said. Thank goodness, i thought we had a bomb on board or something.
Hahaha, i love these sort of drivers, there arnt many of them around, but they do make me smile and actully cheer people up. More Personality on the tube!!
@samb14 i once went on the waterloo and ity line and it normall take 10 mins to get accross but we had a driver which made it happen in like 5 mins because he was fast!! LOL
━━━━┃ ┗━━━━━━┛┃ just kidding.. i Hardly go to the tube anymore not since 7/7 bombings... is that right yer.. but the london bombing i moved to luton now I'm safe.. nufing important here.. (except for the airport)
im guessing the fact that the person that recorded this clip and was on the train before the stop at the being. The driver had said this before at the last stop with a better reaction.
I can tell by the squeeking that this train is pulling into Bank station. Am I right? I'm always on the Northern Line, shame I don't have witty drivers to keep me entertained D:
Yeah, I know what you mean. I hate using the tube at rush hour. It's nice when I'm coming home from somewhere at like, 11pm/12am.. All nice and quiet :P
Hopefully this year will be the year when we can get rid of tube drivers. Let's get the tube back for Londoners!!!
