  • je, someday people will look at the map and see how importand USA were.

  • Lol, he talks about understanding a games economy being more important than understanding the worlds economy.

  • I felt the same way about economics

  • spencer, ur dad loves you, don't be so mean to him

  • instead of the Teutonic order expanding east they go west and colonize the americas

  • This always happens to Poland. Gangraped by all countries bordering them...

  • Macro Economics, good pic. Definitely helps with strategy games and business courses. I remember getting an A.

  • Poland deserves nothing less for having hungarian troops sneak into ur counrty trying to get rid of u.

  • im a bit offended cuz im lithuanian lol

  • are you taking a dump while talking about this? seriously, they're awesome playthroughs, but the sound of you putting pressure on your anus really annoys me. :p

  • Poland always winds up becoming a superpower in my playthroughs of 1339 EU3

  • I always think of Persia for important states which have gone down hill... From owning the largest empire, and now not even a country in the modern age..

  • At first I was surprised you didn't accept that white peace from Muscovy at 12:44 . I thought you were nervous about warring with Novgorod in the first place because you didn't want to get attacked by Muscovy.

But then Muscovy was willing to give you Kholm for peace so it all worked out alright.

  • One thing I like about this game that I wish civ would do is when the AI asks you to declare war on someone, you actually BOTH attack instead of just you

  • i love watching this but i suck at playing it -_-

  • all that is happening to polad remind me of Histeria when they talk about polish history

  • hey.. im lithuanian... -_-

  • @32simas well, but he is right...

  • 'I encourage anyone at University to take a macroeconomics course, so that you can get good at computer games which involve running a world economy.' XD

  • you must have taken socialist economics, or taken econ from a leftist.

  • Polish pie?

  • Lithuania never was really significant.

Thanks to commonwealth with Poland, they as a union were the biggest european power of 16th and 17th century, but just like with personal unions in eu3, poland was the dominant side.

  • Poland: what? invaded? Not again!

  • Or Germany which didn't exist as one until the mid 1800's

  • Don't invade Poland! You'll start WW3!!!

  • I wish my internal monologue sounded like JosefVStalin

  • thanks for the macroeconomics tip i was always wondering how to make a strong economy with Brandenburg

  • well lithuania (grand duchy of lithuania) was big from baltic sea to the black sea (and yes they had moscow) formed a commonwealth with poland, well poland was dominating that.. and beat crusader armies in one of the bigest battle of the time Battle of Grunwald.

but later lithuania was like on the crossroads of wars.. occupied too times by russia, germany etc. lots of lithuanians was exterminated or exiled.

    now just small country.

  • Ritcher the brave the 1st, now in his 40s, set out to conquer an area in Poland, as punishment for allowing Hungarian forces to cross their lands to beseige the Order's realm. The war was swift, Poland, was nearly nothing more then a memory. Ritcher was sent northward for the invasion of Novgorod, shattering it easily, and fighting off the Russians who swore to it's defense. The war itself was mostly contained, ending with Novgorod vasseled, and Kholm annexed from the Russians.

  • actually poland and lithuania used to be the same country and at its peak it had troops march into moscow

  • @night1610 Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth?

  • @theshadowbehindme in 1569 at the union of lublin Poland and Lithuania joined into a personal union which lasted until the partitions in 1795. near the demise of Poland-Lithuania, the government enacted the second oldest codified constitution in modern history.

  • @night1610 But they elected the king right?

  • @theshadowbehindme That is true as well, the king was elected by the szlachta, or the nobility. The new democracy granted many of the same voting rights in America. They then would either have form a parliamentary democracy or completely abolish the monarchy

  • Lol, partitions of Poland in 1430.

  • i agree with you conservatives dont know how to run an economy. I live in america and our economy is sucking pretty bad right now. China is socialist and they have a wonderful economy. A lot of our factory goods are produced in China because of their economy and because they make it for chump change. that doesnt mean I'm socialist, I just agree with your statement. I'm a republic kind of guy.

  • @Misiame Actually, China is a communist county and is rapidly becoming conservative so that they can gain a massive economy. Why they have such a huge economy now is because they have such a HUGE amount of poor citizens willing to work in factories. China sees that they can become even more wealthier if they can have a richer infrastructure and population.

But, I will say, China is making some mistakes in order to become rich. Search up 'China's Ghost Cities' and you'll be shocked!

  • Great advice want to learn how to run an economy in a game? Go take a college class!!

  • Don't you means he's a Neo-Nazi?

  • @bioshockftw123 no his dads a neo conservative. conservative is republican. nazis are very very liberal. a neo nazi would be a neo-liberl i guess

  • @codmod55 Sorry to break your steam, but neither liberals nor conservatives are Nazis. Nazi Ideology was broken over sixty years ago... you know, when the allies won WW2? :(

  • Wait, you can't annex a country if they're of a different religion in this game? Or does that only pertain to diplomatic annexation? You can still militarily conquer nations of different faiths, right? It just seems ridiculous for that to be impossible, considering how much of that has gone on in world history. lol.

  • this is actually a very silly game. ive been playing it for a while, and at first i thought it was amazing. but really its just silly. just wait until you try to colonize somewhere (South America, for example) and experience the dumb revolt spam. if you thought the pirates were bad, you're in for a treat!

  • i bet this is haw my countre felt like when it was riped to shreads

  • Look at the right at 9:24. There is a province called BelooZero!

  • @jmpr138 He forced vassalized in a war. So rules of annexations still apply in that circumstance.

  • 01:12 or you just don't take that class but you watch your videos. that saves you like 3 years :D

  • Comment removed

  • Oh... And I was about to say "Watch out for Nevsky!"

So much for the Battle of Lake Peipus.

Oh... And search that on Youtube. Theres an AWESOME Advert about that.

  • I'm not really sure why I like Communism... Just say Communism, I think Russians, Say Russians and I think Badassery. Communism in the Soviet Union was pretty flawed I think... Building all these great things, only to see the workers and people get almost nothing out of it. You Complain... You die.

If someone like... Refined the ideas, then I think Communism would be a lot better.

  • @warboss3000 I agree with you ideas. Many and most forms of communism have failed. But some purer forms I would be happy with. I am sort of half socialist.

  • Reforming you say?

That was pretty hard in Russia, back then if you tried to reform you'd be straying from the Marxist-Leninist theory, and if you were doing that you were a REVISIONIST.

A nasty word for communists. It's also precicely what caused the Sino-Soviet Split. Yes the country was run by a bunch of conservative old men. But for people like Tito..he didn't have to listen to those bastards.

  • i watched/listened to while actually playing, this seres about 14 times now :P

love it. love all your videos. cпасибо

  • What difficulty are you playing Stalin?

  • @TheAsharedhett i think when you pick your country theres a bar that shows u and theres a skull and then theres a baby pacifier and if its closer to the pacifier its easier close to the skull would be harder but iam not absolutely sure

  • @FPSOWner

nah thats the country difficulty he means like the battle and the econmey difficulty located in the options

  • What difficulty.

  • I keep thinking sweaden is the ocean

  • Macedonia also really sucks now. All of Alexander's work for nothing...

  • Please continue

  • What exactly can u DO that will improve an eco, all I do is disband some troops and kinda wait it out, wat else can u do?

  • Denmark where once a great "land" country, then the swedes got pissed of and took norway, Skåne -.-

  • I hate rebels, the always ruin my great empire :(

  • how did you get your infamy so low .. plz respond

  • rebels find it funny to revolt against stalin =D

  • LOL "Ah those reble scum." ;D

  • It always Polnad that gets ganged up upon. Leave Poland alone! =,(

  • Lol, that should be in a course description. Take Macro Econ, you'll beat your friends in video games!

  • Stalin has daddy issues!

  • how do you make money..i keep being bankrupt..

  • Good part :)

  • prove em wrong stalin

  • You can still annex novgorod because novgorod is russian and still christian

  • Does anybody know if this expansion to Europa Universalis 3 will work fine with Windows 7? I'm finding that the demo for Europa Unversalis 3 is kinda evil with Windows 7 and requires a bit of tinkering.

  • Mongolia owned half of the know world and there still pretty big compared to european countrys.

  • I love this let's play in fact because of it i bought EU3 a couple of days ago, it's great and I'm totally addicted. There's just one problem for some reason I can't move the treasury bar, for this reason I'm tearing my nation apart with constant cash raising wars. does anyone know why i cant change the treasury bar please help me

  • I want a piece of the pie too.

  • You can't annex them unless their down to a single province. Its a STUPID rule in my opinion since you hold the whole damn country, I dont know WHY you wouldn't be allowed to just annex the whole thing.

  • @DarkArtistKaiser I've always found that rule to be a bit frustrating and arbitrary, especially if you control all the enemies provinces. I wonder if there is any reason for it?

  • Well of course, when nations go to war, thats a good time to try to get some territory for yourself. These nations can be a pain to take over.

  • Dude, it's the middle of the fucking night :) Great LP though

  • poland was partitioned early in this history

  • Looks like Poland is a one-province minor now.

  • stop killing my great great great great great grandfather

  • I'm pretty sure you're doing a lot better then the actual Teutonic Order ever did.

  • How do u put troops into a naval

  • what does it mean when a territory is crossed out, and what does annex mean

  • @GamerGuy249 crossed = occuppied territory (color represents which countrie occuppied it) annex verb: to completely take over dissolve a government, and handing the territory of country to the annexor

  • @Wilhiemthe2nd thanks

  • @GamerGuy249 IDK about the first one but annex means to add to, so he annexed the territory or Added the territory to his empire!

  • @jrchandonait thanks

  • Being an econ major, i have changed some of my more liberal views personally, although i would consider myself left of center still (in America). Stalin, i was wondering whether you think that this is a better game than HOF2 and whether or not you have more fun playing this or SC2.

  • Thats what poland gets for letting those hungarians into your country xd

  • So why don't consevativs know anything about running an econmy?

  • FINALLY!!!!

  • you know you could have just taken most of their states and made them vasslas right? you had %100 warscore... that means you can ask for anything.

  • wow, your dad paid for uni? Over here in the UK, well for me anyway, I take out a loan and pay it off afterwards.

  • Dude you have control of the Pope, use for Casus Belli on the Heathens and the Excommunicate people too :D

  • poor poland

  • Lol,poor Poland, just like real history.. attacked from all directions:)

  • Also, Stalin, you got lucky that that war ended quickly. Having played as them, I can tell you that Muscowy can seriously pull armies 30,000 strong out of their ass. By 1430 I was basically able to field a 80,000 man strong army, making all the Khanates surrounding me my bitch.

  • must be horrible having a conservative dad? Nothing I hate more then conservative right wing people, cant imigine having a parent like that lol. Long live socialism

  • I like this lp it's really interesting

  • Holy shit, Muscowy is kicking ass. Seriously.

  • What is the structure of this games units? like hoi 3 had divisions and brigades what does eu 3 have?

  • very true before the bullshit war betwen US and iraq the iraq army was just massive its only wasnt bigger than the sovietic and chinese army but after the US damage iraq economy and declared that bullshit war with amost half of the fucking world was allied the iraq army just got VERY small and crappy

  • I don't understand how you stay out of debt Stalin. Whenever I play this game no matter what nation I am, other that Korea, I always fall into massive debt.

  • @promdawg

Take a course in macroeconomics XD

  • hi stalin, great videos. can i ask you how did you annex that vassal, because when I try to annex a vassal they wont exept it.

  • @RTWfan1234 Well sometimes they don't accept. Usally I just save before I ask and if they say no I reload and ask again :P

  • @JosefVStalin Imagine we could do that in the real world :D

  • @JosefVStalin Imagine we could do that in the real world :D

  • @JosefVStalin

That is the oldest trick in the book is it not ;).

  • @JosefVStalin thanks

  • @JosefVStalin

so basically the game is just random. how lame, and i have just wasted money by ordering a copy. so much for strategy.

  • It's not random, you need very good relations and you need to wait.

Also, your leader should have good diplomatic skill and your country a bit of prestige. The game is based on numbers so you have to manipulate all the variables to your favor.

And "Demanding" annexation is not really correct, it should say: "suggest".

  • @IiiERT

Yeah, I have been playing the game for a few days now. It really does seem as "deep" as others were saying. The interrelations between the diplo, prestige, infamy, etc, etc really help to make some dynamic "emergent" gameplay. Far deeper than a game like Total War. It's Total War for adults I think! :-) I'm glad I'm discovering that games like this actually exist, games that require patience and higher degrees of understanding. I was beginning to think gaming was a waste of time.

  • Yeah I guess it's deep.

Even though it's mostly about how you want to subdue other nations.

After playing EUIII you start thinking that the diplomatic options of other games are really limited.

  • @JosefVStalin Having had them as vassals for a long time increases chances. Having a high diplo leader while they have a low diplo monarch helps. Having high stability while they have low stability helps. Having high prestige helps. Having low infamy helps. So there are alot of ways to improve diplo-annex chances

  • @JosefVStalin thats what i do in total war games when im assasinating someone or infiltrating a city

  • Just have to love how much world map suck =D

  • sweden ftw

  • i dont rembber what the strips on a province mean could some plz tell me

  • @willydadog2 that some1 conquer it and the is the color of the country that took it

  • @willydadog2 that someone is at war with the contry that owns that provice and that someone captured it

  • i should get and economics degree so i can be good that video games

  • I took basic Economic lessons during high school that was sponsored by national bank (School is totaly free)

  • During the Regency Councils, you can`t declare war, so I am not sure if muscowy could declare war on you if you declared war over Novgord. Maybe if you are helping an ally you can declare war .. who knows :P!

  • @thedootsman please be patient :) stalin had some problems... actually youtube had some bugs with his uploads and he is re-uploading them :D

  • ha i noticed that poland was a city state at 12:45

  • more vids please

  • why is the lowest quality now 240? i cant view 720 so now these vids look crappy

  • @orbo45 The video is processing. You have to wait anywhere from an hour to 3 hours after the video is uploaded. This will then give you the 360 and 480 options.

  • @PodMan26 oh i saw it had been up for 2 hours and figured it was done. im not one of those people who doesnt understand processing just to clarify. ive just never encountered that before

  • @orbo45 I understand. It's YouTube. YouTube has a tendency to suck or be stupid sometimes. :/ w/e LET US ENJOY STALIN'S VIDEOS!!! :D

  • @orbo45 Ever heard of processing?

  • @Traviskolber ever read the rest of the comments before posting a stupid comment?

  • @Traviskolber read what i wrote to PodMan26

  • Yeah, you are right Stalin. Also, if u look at the Austro- Hungarian Empire, it was such a big player on the world stage until WW1. After that, they lost everthing xD.

  • Stalin I see how you like blizzard. Have you ever considered playing WoW? Just a thought. Id totally watch that everyday. Keep up with your good games, looking forward to your SC2

  • lol at Star Wars reference at the end

  • It is the partitions of poland 275 years early

  • stalin are you gonna do a let's play on victoria 2? will you be doing one soon?

  • hurray more eu3 :D
