There are two points to a bodycheck; 1) to take a player out and regain possession of the puck, 2)*most important* let the other team know you are there to compete and win. Everyone kept their head up when Wendel was on the ice. He demanded respect from other players. That's how hockey was meant to be played! F@*$k I miss Wendel Clark!
@kj677 I would put possession of the puck as the most important, but I get your point. Guaranteed if Clark was on the ice, the opposing players all tried to know where he was at all times.
