@rickvdsteen Yes, it does work without the connector, as iPhone is already bluetooth enabled, and if you want to use the forward/backward function I guess you'll have to wait, Apple hasn't enabled it.
It's called an AP21 and it's a Bluetooth dongle for iPhone. It was for the pre v3.0 OS release on your iPhone and iTouch as you couldn't use A2DP bluetooth connections.
