  • Wished there were more of these quality guitar lessons

great clear and understandable thank you very much

  • Thx man Love it! but still verry hard! :) You should make a whole instrumental I can't find one without someone singin... :p

So if you have the time...please make a instrumental! I love this song! Thx greetings from the Netherlands!

  • This was dead on perfect. It isn't that easy with some chords that are not all that common especially factoring in you're in drop D. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

    Norm

  • Very clear and good help myself as beginner. Also missing on youtube: somebody paying it in one go with a clear view on the guitar. Couldn't you, kitemasters, play the guitar with recording technology being better? It's a hassle, but you it be a great help and you'll easily beat the 47.000 viewers! But thanks so far anyway.

  • thanks for takin the time ...maybe some of the complainers might try the same, that wouldnt leave time for them to complain :)

  • @beltrans02 Thnks :-)

  • Not a silly attepmt at all,very clear to me,thx a lot

  • great way of teaching very clear thanks

    hans

  • I liked your crappy lesson. To be complete, perhaps run the notes across the bottom during the strumming.......for those of us who don't hear so well.

I'll reference this till I get the song down.

  • very nice try man thanks a lot for this not so crappy lesson ;-))))

  • Thanks a lot man!!!!

  • Actually it's not crappy

  • I love Rory. Can't believe I get to keep this to watch & learn, thanks

  • is this in slow motion or something? Couldnt sit through it.

  • It gets better after half a bottle of whiskey. Try it, you'll actually like it.

  • Half a bottle and a joint maybe. Its really painful. LOL

  • @resoblues yup it is slow, when I made the vid there was no hd (at least not affordable) had to go with a little webcam and very slow frame rate.

  • As a beginner, this instruction is so very appreciated. How lucky am I to get such a lesson from a guitar master such as Rory. This confirms my love of this site.

  • Rory has occupied herself heavily with learning Johnson's tunes for decades, so she's definitely no stranger to special tunings.

  • Ehhh... Stupid, stupid. You're right of course. The Low D is needed for the D-chord arpeggio.. :shame:

  • "On the other hand".. It's more about the way the chords are played. "Drop D" isn't really necessary. Just play two frets lower on the 6th (low) E-string.. But still; Thanks!

  • "Drop D-tuning". Genious. Never occurred to me. Nowhere on the net other than Standard tuning. Finally the song falls together! Thanks so much!!!

  • Great ....

  • This is far from being a "silly attempt".I know nothing about guitar playing but could understand this perfectly, right off the bat.

  • Seeing all these tutorials on youtube makes me very tempted to buy a guitar.

  • you are a perfect teacher! Great!

  • great lesson.... it's really the best lesson i've seen on youtube
