Yeah I love Ghosts. I thought that was perfect. I was waiting for him to do somthing like that for a long time. I wish he would do a pure electronic album such as in the stytle of IDM. But thats streching it. But yeah. I like the direction he is goin in with Year Zero and Ghosts....

and on the book subject. I love what RUSH did back in the 70's - 80's. I never lyrics from knew 2112 were Ann Rand novals

History: Year Zero (Potential Future History) ;)

Third world countries: Year Zero's ARG had some references (Mining for Life website.)

Still, you can't expect a songwriter to take on every subject, Trent has his niche, and he IS slowly expanding it (Year Zero, Ghosts I-IV)

He's even crossing genres and paving the way for music distribution in the mp3 age.

Yes! In the book he is abusing drugs to keep his dreams under control. His dreams alter reality. Then he goes into treatment, and gets off drugs, his dreams take hold and 'bleed through' into the real world. You still can find a lot of similarities in the themes of With_Teeth and The Lathe of Heaven. Good catch!

Same thing with me. Big fan, but never heard this. I didn't get into Trent's music till 2006 and then I looked through all the past records. I would say I love 90% of everything I have heard and the 10% grows on you over time. Good interview. Thanks for posting it.

I have been told that they're an Austrian interview from the "Morphic Fields Of Nihilsm" special from the 'Kunst Stucke' program, but that's unconfirmed.
