For those rabid Mickey (and Minnie) fans, this audio is actually a redone track, since the song as originally heard sounded different. But then, Walt was used to only squeaking for Mickey & Minnie before the commercial success of Steamboat Willie as the first "talkie" made him consider doing the full-on voice work for the mice couple, years prior to his smoking habit forcing him to surrender the role to Jimmy MacDonald, who told Wayne Allwine to "Remember, you're only filling in for the boss."
The song's catchy, but let's face facts that Uncle Walt might not sing well, which may be why the short was redone with the audio heard in the video, since the voice was initially different in its original performance. But really, Walt was used to only squeaking for his mice before the commercial success of Steamboat Willie made him consider full voicing. Yet, his smoking habit made him give the role to Jimmy MacDonald, who told Wayne Allwine to "Remember, you're only filling in for the boss."
I love the way literally everything was alive in these old cartoons. Nothing was static or stiff; it all had life, individual characteristics. Everything could bend, stretch. And I especially love Mickey's facial expressions while he's singing!
This is what all cartooning should aspire to be like. I mean, what's the point in animating something if you're not allowed to have fun with it?
That's what modern cartoons lack, I feel; actual cartoon fun.

Hey every body. Walt Disney did not think of his disney characters on his own. The characters from disney are actually cheap copies from Mexican songs. Now you know.
@BRoWnSNoW123 I know right? The cartoons of today not as classic as this and never will be, it's Mickey mouse and NOTHING is Better! Besides when it's the real thing no ABC's or 123's stuff..its better that makes it for ALL ages..
Rashman: And ironically, seeing as Mick and Minn were the alter-egos for Mr. and Mrs. Disney, Disney had it said that Mr. and Mrs. Mouse were privately married in an 1933 interview...well before Wayne and Russi--who are also married--took over as the most recent voice talent behind the world's most infamous mouse couple.
Not anymore, unfortunately. RIP Wayne. Bret Iwan was recently announced to be Mickey's new voice actor. By then he'd be the fourth one to take the mantle. Fifth, if you count the one here. He's actually voiced by Carl Stalling, Disney's music composer at the time, who would eventually go on to do the music for the Warner Bros. cartoons. He voiced him in "Mickey's Follies," as well as "The Karnival Kid," though it was so brief of a time, he's not considered an "official" Mickey voice actor.
@gtnyang16: Walter Elias Disney, from midwestern state of Missouri, hence Mickey's country roots & the mice living like separate on-screen lovers when in public, since "Uncle Walt" & Lillian Banks Disney also kept their private lives to themselves, maintaining an air of seperation between their public appearances & their private lives as simply Mr. & Mrs. Disney, all thoughts of being the mother & father of--arguably--the greatest family-oriented empire of Western existence forgotten.
