all the albums gave me a different feeling. the first one made me feel like i was in the city or at points a grave or the countryside. Demon Days felt.... darker. Plastic Beach made me think of the ocean more then anything.

@uskyler05 Sorry for the late response and thanks for the reply. It's good to talk to someone who isn't a troll. I hold both the first album and the second in high a regard as each other. I love them both. To be honest Gorillaz wasn't really aimed to say anything. It was much more an great experiment in sound among other things. Demon Days was much more artistic with a message, but not better, just different! (1/2)

@churchy99 you are right, and Gorillaz were not created for that, but they have been transromed into a purpose to bring all good artists that have good views on the world and bring them all under one roof to make some monster tracks. Demon Days is different, you're right, but its a little better as far as the tracks and their correlation to one another. They fade into one another and some even sound a little similar. but yes, both are great.

@uskyler05 With plastic beach any message is completely convoluted and isn't communicated properly or clearly. The only thing I could make up is that maybe garbage and litter isn't so bad but then there's hardly any analysis there! Also their whole approach to music seems horribly corporate and money based now, which is not what gorillaz were originally about. Although I will say Plastic Beach has one fantastic song for me: To Binge. I hope they realise what they've done and clear it up!

@uskyler05 I have been taking note of your conversations and I think you are over politicising the why's and wherefores. IMO I just like the fact they produce great music. Isn't it refreshing to have some great artists collaborating and producing some masterpieces. For them it must be liberating to be able to produce music that they want to make and have no one overly criticisng it, Afterall, they're all hiding behind a group of cartoon characters; hence substance, not image is king. its awesome how the album starts out kinda dark, and if you're feeling angry or sad, you can relate to it. but by the end of the album it just kinda says "its okay. theres hope, but you just gotta believe that the world can change for the better. but if you dont have faith, you've lost the battle at the start" awesome message. definitely inspiring songs.

@Ironstringz I also like the idea of the phrase "Don't Get Lost In Heaven". Once you've fixed everything and made it good, make sure it doesn't go backwards. Make sure everything is still going as it should and everything is right. Although I'm sorry to say that Gorillaz as they are with Plastic Beach is a case of them getting lost in heaven. But that doesn't change this for the masterpiece of music it is. I wish I could have been there to see this live.
