@plateofshrimp I absolutely agree with you on that point. Ticket sales will plummet because so many people will just be able to look out their apartment windows and watch the races for free. But by the same token that stretch being a race track for Formula 1 once a year might also prevent people from investing in the unfinished apartments not everyone wants to hear cars roaring past their windows...Think about the people who work late night shifts that tend to sleep during the day.
If you see these pictures, it's really hard to imagine that F1 is going to drive there. When i first heard of about a street circuit there I thought about something like Valencia or Singapore on city highways but this seems really more like Monaco. I cant wait to see it !
I am a HUGE FORMULA ONE FAN and this is the best news I've heard or seen in long time. Not only is the U.S. back on the map in F1 in Texas, there is a race in NEW JERSEY where I grew up!!! Not in my wildest dreams could I ever imagined this reality!!! TIFOSI RULES!!!
Great video! Im just glad we are finally getting our heads out of our asses and welcoming this great sport. This will be great for many of us who do not want to travel to Texas in 2012.
Awesome seeing Blvd. East! I remember walking down to see the skyline as a kid. Good memories and can't wait to go back and see the race (plus go to Chicas Bakery on Bergeline...mmmm). Should be quite the spectacle.

@PeatCowman That is because there is no road there right now. The track will cut across the NY Waterway Ferry parking lot. The route shown here is as close as anyone can get on public roads.
@PeatCowman You are absolutely correct. We realized the error last night and we are working on a fix. Barricades and one-way traffic also prevented our drivers from traversing the actual course. Thank you.
Awesome video!! Agreed with Mrstlyz, it's great seeing my hometown from over here in South Korea, but I'd love to see how they set up Blvd. East. The driver's right, one mistake and those houses are in trouble. Those boys are gonna be moving! Overall, this is a great move putting North Hudson on the global map.
Very cool - thatnks for the video. Going to be a great course - but truly insane to coordinate this many extra people in Weehawken....not to mention the closures leading up to the race while they set up. It'll also be interesting to see how the set up the sandtraps.
@mrstylz There won't be any sandtraps, probably. Maybe they'll put that abrasive paint like they have at Paul Ricard to slow the cars down, otherwise it'll just be tires, armco and tecpro, like at Monaco and Singapore.
Very nice video! This is gonna be the shortest grand prix 3.2 miles lol

Seriously?...the video is credited to "Bumper deJesus"
If you are British and you know that "bumper = "fender" then this
is just the. best. name. ever. for a guy filming a future F1 circuit
Rinde on "Holy Fender"!

Very interested to see how the transformation of the track will be, it seems like the last place for a F1 race in this video.

Very nice video, but i think you got the location of Turn 1 wrong. The circuit plans show it turning left long before that building.

@thanat99 Thanks. Traffic flow and road closures also prevented our drivers from driving through the actual course.
