Please someone tell me, I heard that KRK's are not very durable and they break. Is it true? BEcause I want to purchase these speakers in future and I want to know :/ thank you :)
@F1NNAZ glad to help and I don't think you will have any problems with them if you get a pair. I've even used mine to play some music/DJ at a small bar in town, and everyone couldn't believe how good they sounded. I have QSC's for that now, but they worked great those couple of nights too.
soon getting a pair of the krk rp6 but dont know if i should.i mainly want them for everyday music listening but don't know if i should because they're mainly for monitoring what should i do?
rp5's good for a small room? and im gonna be using mine rp5's for traktor/virtualdj, so do i need a soundcard to run the speakers? i have a macbook pro and will also be using a dj controller with a souunnnnd card in it already
Does the sub woofer not give too much bass in the mix? Causing you to ease off on the bass while mixing, therefore making the mix a bass-lacking one to everyone else?
@TylerVanderkooy it actually can do that rly easily and without you noticing... deadmau5 himself said on one of his streams that he usually doesnt use a sub when actually making his tracks (idk about mastering and stuff tho)
I have the RP8's too. All I gotta say bruh is best use of tax return money ever=P Enjoy =) Now all I need is the RP10 subwoofer. I still live in a dorm so I'm waiting to get a house first
Doesn't the sub give too much basswhen mixing, which would kind of cause you to reduce the bass because it would sound too hard. Then when someone hears it on regular speakers the bass sounds too weak ?
Good choice on the KRK's! I personally own an S10 sub, I find it light years more accurate than conventional home theater subs I"ve owned in the past- Klipsch RW-10, Rw-12 and Definitive Supercube 1. HT subs try to "Impress" by attempting to perform lower than they actually can, in most cases bottoming out. The S10 I've never seen bottoming out.
You know with KRKs, how exactly are they powered? Do they work via an audio interface or through mains? and is it just a single audio output lead from your laptop for the sound?
Nice sound, how can i do to connect just de two monitors with the sound cart without passing through the sub, i have an imac 27" and a pair of rp 5, i don`t record, i just use it for music, but i definitely need a sound card i think. Would you recommend me this m-audio? or any other possibility?
nice pad , I'm am on my way to buy some krk speakers tonight, but I'm wondering if it's worth going from the g6 to the g8. My bedroom is small and it will be used primarily for studio recording and a little bit of gaming. Any thoughts ???
you don't need a soundcard to hook the monitors or the sub up to your computer...if you dont want to spend an extra 100 dollars just by an aux splitter, a few rca or trs to male aux cables and you will get great quality sound with out the cash...and you can control your eq and volume all on your internal sound card...worked great for me
I think I may just have to get the 10S sub. I have two RP6's at the moment - running through a USB DAC and it sounds amazing - but lacking in bass a bit I think. Try listening to SPL - Cobalt through your setup I bet it sounds amazing! Nice one for the video :)
Nice, I have a real similar set of studio monitors 6" and a 10" studio sub. Do you think there is much of a difference between a 5" + sub setup vs 8" + sub setup?
I'd appreciate your feedback as I'm actually considering getting 5's because the 6's take up a lot of room.
I got the 5's and the 10's, and it works perfectly. The major difference between the 5's, 6's and 8's is the low end. The mids and highs are almost the same. So you can go get the 5's :)
Looks to me that u invested in wrong type of speakers bro - u see, these are for studio monitoring not for enjoying music :D you would be better off buying some hi end hi fi component system and some infinity speakers with woofer ;)
Great video, is it nocicable, if the sub is on a high volume, that the air movement in the bass reflex tube is hearable? Like itś "breatihing"? THX for help
Dude you need to keep your Subwoofer at least 1m away from the power source... Electromagnetic fields are generated which isn't good for any of your speakers / monitors
@tazandbuddha XLR cables are plugged into the RP10 from the RP8s, 1/4 inch cables run from sub to soundcard, soundcard runs to computer via USB. It's really easy to set up once you have all the stuff.
@kalashnikov12345 How much did it cost for the whole of what you have? im looking for 2 VXT6s and the same sub, but it looks like its going to cost about £1300?
lol how do you sit at your desk with that monster sub under there? Nice speakers though man, I have a pair of RP5's and I love em, lookin to get a 10s to go along with them soon
@DubstepPromoter If your question is with regard to the settings on the back, I keep the RP8's between +3db and +6db the RP10 on +3db. Otherwise the volume is controlled with the sound card and I rarely go above 75%
7:51 =O lol, I'm wanting to get the krk rp 8 without the subwoofer...can you do a video of them without the sub playing? thanks if you can id prefer hiphop/rap music thanks
lucky bastard.
