As a drummer I would have to say that Kris Klingensmith has to be one of the most underated drummers ever especially in Christian music. He can play a tremendous variety of measures, listen especially to his cymbal work its incredible.|Definatley a jazz background because of those neat little fills.
A friend in high school put on this new album he had bought. It knocked me slackjawed in 5 seconds. I had never imagined anything like this existed. It's still one of my favorites. The opening of "No Freedom" is permanently engraved on my brain.
This band is one of the biggest reasons I discovered other Christian rock bands. By far the best album of it's kind. It still holds up today. What kool riffs, grooves, lyrics & singing. The guitars are extremely sick. This still holds up to anything anyone has done. Christian or secular!
Back in the '80's, I was the only one in the small town I grew up in that listened to Christian hard rock. Needless to say, I was the only one that had this album. The only music store in town was owned by a bee hive hair wearing holiness family. They must have thought I was way off the deep end bc I was always ordering these hard rock/metal cassettes of bands they have never heard of! Glad to see that I'm not the only one!!
I really like the guitar in this and Breathless Wonderment. I wish the recording quality were better.

@BonzerPilot Agreed. Sounds worse than the cassette recording back in the day.

This was the first album I ever bought. I owned it on cassette and vinyl. I was about 12 or 13 when it came out. I still love it.
