  • Thos who says music is making them high clearly never experienced the phenomen of bein actually high. I'm not hatin'. May Pink Floyd live Forever.

  • What's this debate all about. Listen to the music and it says chill out.I have been straight, loaded on heroin, alcohol, Vaium, Coke, etc and the Pink Floyd message is still the same. Look at life as being in a movie just watching the video. Enjoy the video and groove with it, but by no means don't take it seriously or even worse fall into it, or make a drama out of it. Just experience it and chill. So cool. Get real.In the end it's only you. Wow

  • SI

  • If the artist was in an altered state of mind when writing the music then the music deserves an altered state of mind when listening to it.... at least occasionally.

  • peaking

  • genial ideal para un paseo a la playa durante la noche

  • the sweetest track on the album. Simply put back the recliner and smoke a doob.

  • simply super WoooooooooooooooW

  • i love the women vocalists in this song bad azz

  • Pink Floyd, stop playing with my mind...

  • I agree with animehobo, this song should be at least 15 minutes long.

  • I got a trip me and my friends do. Next time you get high, play this song with earbuds or headphones(whichever you prefer is more comfortable), lay back, close your eyes, listen to this song and imagine a movie that has this whole song as the soundtrack... You're welcome

  • PODRIA DECIR QUE ESA CANCION ES UNA QUE ME INSPIRO MUCHAS VECES A SEGUIR ADELANTE EN MIS PROYECTOS PROFESIONALES CUANDO ESTUDIABA Y QUERIA SER UN GRAN CIENTIFICO.....SON INCREIBLES ESTOS MUSICOS....

  • This song is much to short.

  • @animehobo I always felt so

  • inmemsamente fantastica musica lo mas luki

  • 1974. For you, Jane, whatever your last name is now, you had my heart and never knew it. From Aldeburgh to the hills above Hemel Hempstead, the 14 year-old never forgot you...

  • @TheVegetarianTiger Man, that is touching. If true, one of the best comments I've ever read.

  • @EruditoLoco All true, music friend. Memories immortal as lunatics on the grass...

  • @EruditoLoco Yes. Talk of it. I read one that is even more teary. But this has to come next. I think it's still posted, the com I speak of.... was from a couple years ago (would need to journey into my comments log).---I did same as you. I replied to the guys post and asked if real, then explained my emotional reaction. You and Vegetarian exchange is a kind a "deja vu" for me.

  • the british are so talented :)

    god bless the UK

    from mexico.

  • Pink Floyd makes me feel stoned when I listen to them.

  • Anyone else get the feeling they weren't ready to record at all when they were in the studio that day? It began so roughly and ended so abruply... idk. Amazing song, though

  • @dollarsaurus01 Not really. Who know how many times this song, album, amazing story, was rehearsed.

  • 20 DISLIKES ? MAYBE ARE TALIBAN?

  • So you know how "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" says 42 is the answer to life, the universe and everything? Well its not. The real answer is two words: Pink, and Floyd.

  • Happy MLK Day

  • Dark side of the moon was written as a continuous uninterrupted bunch of sounds and songs, but all Pink Folyd had was vinyl LP and had to put it on 2 sides thus the only interruption in the series. When CD was developed, DSOTM was finally arranged the way it was meant to be.

  • @Sarasdad91 well on that note, they should have gotten together one last time while Richard Wright was still alive and made a CD. They could have utilized their awesome skills in being able to write albums as one track in one whole album. I love this album, I love the wall, I love everything I have heard of the floyd :)

  • You unfortunate feeble minds who require mind altering substances to enjoy Pink Floyd

  • @JustATadpole High or not, Pink Floyd is beautiful.

  • @JustATadpole So true my friend. I used to smoke but have cut right down and have come to learn that one can be equally free when totally sober of all substances

  • @JustATadpole They don't all "require" it, but it does take things a whole lot further whether you know how to enjoy the music sober or not.

  • @JustATadpole ...The music IS the mind altering substance....drugs, as Pink Floyd knows, gives it that extra KICK.

  • @JustATadpole Pink floyd is my mind altering substance.

  • its a great song

  • I have to cry hearing this album. even now...

  • Some music sonds better when you're stoned. This music sounds the same, but it makes feeling stoned even more awesome

  • @bearcataquatic Pink floyd when stoned is the meaning of life.

  • @Xerosnake90 pretty sure they're the meaning of life wether you're stoned or not. being stoned just let's you realise it faster

  • @bearcataquatic Not gonna argue with that. To be honest though, I never listened/appreciated Floyd until my buddy and I had a relaxing smoke and he introduced me to their music. It is now my favorite thing to listen to if I have the occasional smoke.

  • This song is freakin awesome!

  • 20 people are "them"...

  • i was listening to floyd i think it was us and them im not sure i was pretty drunk at the time

  • you dont need to be high off your lazy ass to enjoy this song.. i heard it for the first time tonight and loved it and i wasnt stoned. that shit belongs in the ground, not your lungs dudes.

  • @xxcharmed1xx Music that's great while your sober is great while your high

Let people do what they want and don't criticize others who are not affecting you in any way

Being sober doesn't mean this song is bad

I'm sober at the moment and it's still mind blowing

  • That sax is amazing!

  • I don't need drugs to enjoy this. Just to enhance it!

  • I didn't think this song could be any better...then I started smoking weed

  • this song doesnt need drugs it just needs to be listerned to in london!.. you will get it!

  • love -love -love it..)

  • I feel so stoned. Yeah...

  • just take drugs and listen to the song you'll understand what im saying

  • seriously is a fuckin masterpiece is really the best song that i had the privilege to listen

and i think you have to listen to it while you are stoned

  • @heyyouwtheshades Thumbs up for u sir

  • No matter what Decade it is their will always be good music. You just have to make an effort to dig deep for it. Dont go to the radio trying to find real music, or your next favorite band

  • Som de outro mundo! os melhores!

  • timeless classic and is played every day by GOD

  • What a beautiful saxophone solo there..

  • Timeless Perfection,,, this is music.

  • I wish people would understand that you don't have to be stoned to listen to good music. Its not required ya know!

  • @Soadownz45 agreed. but drugs nowadays became a trend.. i only take drugs 5-10 times a year

  • @KVteam360 never do drugs my self lol

  • Comment removed

  • @KVteam360 Drugs are a trend in all generations, It's why you take them that defines what trend you're in. I don't understand wht you're trying to say.

  • I wanna listen to this song on my death bed.

  • Officials say that they are aware of at least 20 mentally handicapped users spamming youtube. We're not sure of the volume of what's happening yet, but we have been informed that Pink Floyd has been affected by this terrible slobber-filled disaster.

  • listening to this on vinyl quite stoned

"out of the way, it's a busy day I've got things on my mind"

  • Love this song.Listening to the vinyl version as I type. Thanks for posting this.Going to send the link to someone special ;)

  • SAX

  • in my head!!!!!!

  • Im going to a pink floyd concert tonite!!!

  • The more you listen, the more you realize the album cover is pure genius.

  • The ultimate song to just lean back on..and let it come over you...totally!

  • This albumn bridged a very important gap back in it's day. It was number 1 on the Billboard pop charts and number 1 on the predomently black Downbeat charts. The only other artist to do the same, I believe was M.J.s Thriller, many years later. It's fusion of jazz and rock, may never happen again. But for one very sweet year, the races came together without even knowing it. I was on an aircraft carrier, and I could hear this album being played in all compartments of the ship. Amazing album.

  • This is prog rock and it doesnt get any better.

  • I'll always like this song especially because the first time I got really high (or "baked", as you kids call it these days), I remember hearing it on an old 8-track tape.

  • Pink Floyd, where have you been all my life?

  • Brady Arnold is the next Pink Floyd... look him up on bandcamp.com

  • It's saying so much to me... and I don't know why but my face is kind of frowned.

  • This song makes so much sense right now. =)

  • With all the great music back in the early 70s, this Album was the buzz around town for Months and Months, Revolutionary actually, there was no one like Floyd.

  • alta bandaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,lo mejor que escuche :D

  • such an amazing song.

  • 0:00 Click, for your own sake :)

  • Don't mourn that it ended; rejoice that it happened.

  • Classic, but you should have joined on any colour you like!

  • relaxing

  • hello from 2011, Im sorry how my generation ruined music.

  • @bobertsmith12 You're just too damn lazy to look, there's PLENTY of awesome music being made. Pink Floyd isn't even that great.

  • @Xaxaar "Pink Floyd isn't even that great".....ok...for the sake of NOT giving you a new ass-crack, 'll pretend i didn't just heard that

  • Any better there is not... Simple, Majestic and Symphonic, everything I look for in a tune.

  • Stop complaining and just enjoy the music you like it's not hard.

  • Listen just listen.......

  • 15 year old musician here, we still appreciate. holdin it down for the new generation

  • @aFriendlyBrumak2 Same here.

  • what the hell is wrong with the end??

  • @marybel0414 Us and Them is connected from the beginning with Money, and the song continues with Any Colour You Like. Pink Floyd intended for the album - each song - to be listened in succession. Buy a copy of the album and you'll see.

  • @foxontherails yes right, I forgot that, thank you.

  • @foxontherails Yeppers! I love this album. I think of disc one as one long song and the second disc as one long song. Its so hard not to listen to the entire album at once, but I really wanted to listen to us and them haha. I <3 this album, it speaks to my soul.

  • good shit

  • This song is so amazing in so many ways, I can't describe it all at once. Just so soothing.....I listen to it sometimes when I can't fall asleep. So, yeah, who needs drugs (sleep-aids)?

  • Best album ever by them and it showed when it stayed on the Billboard Top 200 for, that's right, 14 years straight since it's relase, do you know of any other album doing that?

  • Love this stuff!!

  • @dulemesssi Right on!

  • ...and in the end it's only round and round and round

  • One of my very top all time favorite tune of every fricking time period I've ever listened to. Couldn't begin to count the times I've gotten stoned with this in the background. Then when I listen to it straight ... it's weird .. but it brings back the buzz and it's all through me, especially when the sax starts in. mmm mmm mmm

  • To all the people complaining about music being better back in these days, stop complaining and do something about it! Why don't you become the next Pink Floyd?

  • @AiRcAmErOn There is shitty music in all generations. Only the goodies are left untouched.

There are many equally good artists today. But, I admit, for people whose favorite genre is "Classic Rock" it may be hard to find new bands in that genre. But there still are, don't illude yourself. Graveyard for an instance.

  • @AiRcAmErOn

I would LOVE to be the next Pink Floyd....but that is physically impossible....

  • @AiRcAmErOn trust me when I say Im working on it

  • @AiRcAmErOn Because we're all too stoned to move.

  • @AiRcAmErOn that is exactly what i am trying by practicing every day :)

  • @AiRcAmErOn dude...i don't think there can be another Pink Floyd..there were one of a kind...how can such perfection ever be copied?

  • @AiRcAmErOn because that is not easy

  • @AiRcAmErOn Its not that easy mate, there are bands like pink floyd out there but its the record labels that decides whats hot and whats not. Our lives are being controlled by mega corporations. Hence all the crappy music on the tv/radio.

  • @AiRcAmErOn

You're perfectly right. Despite being a big chalenge, it would be great if some band could pop up and make something at least similar to Pink Floyd did.

  • @AiRcAmErOn because that is nearly immpossible but that dosent mean no one can try.

  • @AiRcAmErOn because no one can compare to pink floyd its just that plane and simple

  • @AiRcAmErOn I have a band and i'm trying to do that,is my dream and I would do anything to make it real

  • @1DarkSideOfTheMoon1 we'll wait for some video of your band, man ;)

  • @AiRcAmErOn I believe their talent was unique.

  • @AiRcAmErOn yeah, thats easy to do... <----sarcascm

  • @AiRcAmErOn Deus existe, quando escuto essas vozes me sinto embriado numa paz espiritual... com certeza os melhores musicos do planeta...

  • @AiRcAmErOn I'm starting a band and going to try to do just that.

  • Personally, I think this is the best sax song out there, maybe even better than Baker Street.

  • Comment removed

  • 27 year old DJ here...We still appreciate. Beautiful music is timeless and bridges generational gaps

  • @DjSecretFever its music like this that makes me ashamed of our generation

  • @KamikazeProd WHAT?

  • @DjSecretFever

Perhaps Pink Floyd is unique in what they have done. They have captured time and everything they made seems to be time proof.

  • @paulohsgoes1959 Well said!

  • The day I retire and am no longer randomly drug tested at work I'm going to buy a large bag of weed, sit back on my couch, and listen to this entire album....

  • Cada nota tiene su sentimiento y cada uno de ellos su momento... presente en cada segundo de esta obra!

  • this song is what made me switch over from the wall as my main, to dark.

  • I can relate @ TaylorKnox!!!!!!

  • us: 2167 them:19

  • I LOVE PINK FLOYD... just saying..

  • ahhhh 2009-2010 best days ever <3 :( omg!!! nostalgia

  • Ill ill ways remember the firs time i heard this song i was tripping on shrooms

    BLack and blue,

and who knows which is which

Then i found my self singing

"and who is who" as if I knew it by heart :)

  • @musicalnine LOL this made me laugh the same thing happened to me XD

  • orly?

  • The first time I listened this song was the first time I cried while listening music.

  • Have you ever noticed how the only music that gets attributed to drug culture since the 1960's is music that actually says things politically?

  • Only tasteless fools require drugs to enjoy and respect Pink Floyd. Most of the music listened to in the 21st century is done by musicians with far less talent and listened to by people far more sober than most Floyd fans, unfortunately.

  • Comment removed

  • @LeftBehindForDead You do not understand the concept behind drugs&music

For as much as we'd love to say "Pink Floyd never gets old" or "I'll never get tired of it",we're still human. Some folks eventually did get tired of listening to the same track for 40 years.I know I did.

Drugs bypass the filter of time and ordinary reality.Notes that have been long rusted to your ears assume dimension, depth and feeling.heck, there are layers that you didn't even know were there.

  • @yofera50 I'm not saying it doesn't get old to some people. But, as long as armies fight, this song will remain relevant. The point is, stop hijacking actual talent and attributing it to drugs.

  • Dick Parry did a beautiful job on this track

  • People are convinced drugs are a part of the Pink Floyd Experience, but really all you need is two things; Pink, and Floyd. You don't need to be high to enjoy them and it can't POSSIBLY make it better because there is nothing better than Pink Floyd.

  • @Madmouad Drugs help .
