However during this case there was somehow passed a law that meant this no longer was possible. As far as I am informed no one knows who signed this bill. It somehow slipped into a larger law package. Sounds like something we have seen before? ..

I was disappointed when France didn't ban their particular brand of mafia outright, but the article I read had a quote that I agreed with.

By fining them and putting people in prison, but keeping the church around, they force them to be in the spotlight. A lot harder for them to crawl into the cracks like roaches.

If the church had been banned, it'd still be around in secret, and people would die in basements from the cult's "kinder" practices. This way they're truly kept accountable.
