I remember this movie. My whole family took my grandma out to dinner. However, the service was terrrible. We didn't get our food almost an hour. As it turned out, we were right next to the kitchen door and the staff forgot about us. Our food was cold when it came.
But at least we were near a TV to be entertained for our long wait. Guess what was on TV? This shitty movie. Even as a kid I thought it was lame.
The part where the three ninjas are fighting the guys on the boat always left me puzzled. Lets review: The 3 ninja's only practice their ninja stuff during the summer; These ninjas practice fighting all the time, or at least that's implied. so how is it that these ninjas can't fight three kids? And to add insult to injury, the fat guy seems to be their undoing and he isn't seen fighting once throughout this entire movie, even when facing the kids, he just stands there. How does this make sense?

@kakuman1995 It's a classic Kung Fu movie (from the Shaw Brothers if I'm not mistaken). It's called "The Five Deadly Venoms" and it's about a Kung-Fu master who trained five deadly fighters (hence, five deadly venoms) - each in a different "style" of kung fu,. At his death the master sends off one last pupil to find out what became of his five students. You should be able to find it here on youtube.
(Be warned it's old, but really brutal in some parts)

Avatar: The Last Airbender series and Batman the animated series are good examples of kid's shows that has silly moments but wasn't playing down to kids. Surprisingly enough 3 Ninjas actually did well at the Box Office, I think what attracted movie goers was probably the fact that no one back then had really tried a cross-breeding of two different previous movie formulas before...case in point they keep saying its a cross between TMNT and Home Alone. @MetalInstrumentals That's the way slang is, it's a series of phrases that are based off other phrases that should be easy to say, but aren't, so they come to be by simply saying the orignal phrases in a more relaxes way. "Cake" it probably just some kind of slang that never caught on or something.

Surprisingly enough 3 Ninjas actually did well at the Box Office, I think what attracted movie goers was probably the fact that no one back then had really tried a cross-breeding of two different previous movie formulas before...case in point they keep saying its a cross between TMNT and Home Alone. So I guess people thought "Cool never seen a movie do that before"...but that is my theory.
