Then I recommend bands like Entwine, Alcest (okay, not really Goth, but very melancholic), Sirenia (female voice), Lord Of The Lost, Where Angels Fall (also a female voice), SoulRelic, Malice In Wonderland (those both are more rock oriented), ah. and Sonata Arctica (very similar in some songs)

@darkwar12345 Actually he's the lead singer of a band called Charon (and a couple others)...he left Poisonblack after this album was made and Ville Laihiala from Sentenced (Poisonblack's guitarist) took over his role as lead singer.

Seattle has turned out some great bands too. But I agree, I find myself way more into Euro bands than US ones. From what I can tell, Europe has a MUCH better metalscene than the US as well. Hell, even my favorite US band, Nevermore, is signed to Century Media, which I believe is mostly a European label.

I'd just like to point out something that Ton7sa got wrong. Yes, the band now has the singer from Setenced, since the band broke up. However, he wasn't part of the band when this album came out. This album features the original singer, who also is the singer for Charon.

In my opinion, Charon is just as great as Sentenced, just not as well known.

This song is beautiful, and this album is one of the best I've ever heard.
