This has got to be one of the best anglo-italian cooperations of all time! The tough bloke from Sheffield with the urbane signore from Milano - what an unlikely duo.

It would be unfair to compare the two giants; after all, this song is all about cooperation, not competition. Celentano takes a great deal of credit for his performance, not least for his imitation of Cocker's trademark hand movements! The fact that one is singing in English and the other in Italian makes this song even greater!

both Cocker and Celentano are great singers..no matter who is the best, they just sing their music and both are excellent. Adriano is the myth of italian music, he is just Celentano and is not fair to compare him with Joe cocker or someone else.. I like them both but in his style Celentano has no rivals. Tough to beat Joe at his own game no matter what your name is or where you come from. One of the best oddball musical match ups (on paper at least) was James Brown and Pavarotti singing It's a Man's World. What made it work, in my opinion, was that each was singing a style that made them famous. What genre of music is Mr. Celentano's specialty? (Please don't say "He can sing anything." Save that line for the entertainers appearing at your local Holiday Inn.)

You did prove a point. Mr. Celentano does an admirable job but he's no match when trying to match the likes of Cocker at his own game and language. I highly doubt Joe could come close to matching Mr. Celenano at his own game and language. It's like trying to respond to an English speaking person by way of Italian (or the other way 'round.) Something gets lost in the translation (and that's the point you proved.)
