To answer the earlier question about filtration - I use a stocking over eheim aquaball filters. It stops the fry being sucked into the filter and provides a great place for them to eat. I've seen 40 fry at once all feeding off the outside of the filter.
They do seem to like really small pots - I have loads of bigger flower pots in the tank but mine ignore them all and choose short lengths of 2" pipe with one end sealed up.
