  • what game engine are u using?

  • I cant find this game on appstore

  • in my opinion a fps would suit this more, but thats just me coz im not a fan of 3rd, good though, very good.

  • Why is she jogging in place when you turn around?

  • Personally, I think it would be better if the locked doors said "it wont open" instead of "its blocked".

Also, there are small errors in spelling on a few words. It looks good, but we need to see some action.

  • ok. 9 minutes of pure suspense. boring

  • Are there shader maps on the world objects? The walls look as though they have specularity. I'm not sure how well the iPhone is going to handle shaders AND dynamic shadows. A lot of PC game I'm familiar with have trouble with realtime shadows, let alone the iPhone :-/

Looks great though. I'm a big fan of anything Silent hill-ish.

  • this REALLY REALLY looks like silent hill origins

  • Would be much better if we can walk and run. It adds suspense to the game plus a smoother transition from standing to run animation.

  • Is she using her boobs as the source of light?

  • Impressive. Very Impressive.

  • This game looks absolutely amazing! One question though, will there be an ipad version? Regardless I just want to say thank you for making a real quality game! It is disheartening looking through the app store and seeing games that have huge potential but ultimately the designers just wanted to throw something together.

  • I don't know if this is the Dead Strike team's channel, but if it is, I want to say that is a terrific looking game. I love the way you mix sound effects, music and text and how it fits together seamlessly.

You guys should have deigned Fallout 3, because you do creepy/atmospheric far better than the designers at Bethesda.

Don't let my praise go to your head though. ;)

  • Yes,

We are hard at work with Forgotten Memories sound and music composing. The game also have new ways of interaction never seen on survival horror games. :)

There is a coming Forgotten Memories demo called Rose. You will be able to play it for free. :)

    Stay tuned for more! :)

  • i have nintendo ds, psp, and the iphone. What do I play games on the most? iPhone

    suckaaaaaaaaaa

  • tato..this game lookss awesome..this is just an opinion dont take it seriously but try not to have her have a strange thing happen right after the other let the enviorment do the work.. but like i said my opinion btw dead strike owns!!!

  • This the kind of stuff that we are implementing into Forgotten Memories. Psychological fears.

    ;)

  • It's ol. Is it just on iphone or also psp? If not on psp I can still get it on Ipod TOuch but I would rather play it on psp.

  • This game is optimized for iPhone 3GS and iPad.

Theres is a scale down version for old iDevices too and of course a nice kick ass AAA looking one for PC/MAC. However we dont have plans right now on PSP or any other console. But this could change in a near future.

  • @tatoforever Oh wow. Thanks. :P Sounds exciting.

  • tato, I would love to know why not put this on the DS? I mean, there is no reason not to..

  • Nintendo DS you mean? If that the case their is a simple reason. Nintendo dont like theses kind of games on the DS platform. Other than that, it requieres lot of time wrapping the engine to fit the poor DS hardware.

  • But DS games in theory are the biggest of all 3 systems.. And I know sveral horror games on the DS like this one.. Check out Dementium 2 for the DS.. Honeslty I could say it looks better than this.. But this one isnt anywhere near finished so I can't make a final judgement.. And you could downgrade the engine a little to be able to fit DS hardware. How about you could use a 1 gb cart and push the DS's graphics to their fullest.. DS graphics at max look like an average PS2 game..

  • DS graphics at max looks like a Nintendo 64 game without any texture filtering. Now the new DSi EX is good but still not that powerfull enough.

Scaling down this game will require to much work is a bit risky.

  • A developer doesnt worry about how much work would need to be done.. And you obviously havent seen what the DS could really do.. The tech demo was the max of what DS graphics could do and the character models looked like Gamecube standard.. And the rest of the place looked PS2 standard.. The DS is VERY capable of early PS2 graphics or maybe vene mid PS2.. You would just have to push it to the limit.. And the DS is more powerful than boht PS1 and N64 -_-.

  • Yeah, of course if you have the oportunity to bring a game to some kind of platform without any heavy work to do versus making big heavy engine moddifications is quite a huge problem. But thats not a our own very case, we could license DS middleware and port any of our games to DS. Is just that right now, is not on our priority list. We have some funds problems, and we are really pushing Dead Strike with lots of updates as we need money to continue the dev of Forgotten Memories.

  • Wait, I ahve a much better idea.. You could just create a whole diffrent horror game for the DS altogether.. And release it at the end of the year?

  • This is something that we definitely have to look at this year. But dont worry, we will try to covert every possible platforms.

    Cheers,

  • Thanks, I hope that you have plenty of success with this game.

  • Are these the graphics for the ipod? Or ipad? Or mac?

If for the ipod I would LOVe to see how beautiful the ipad version would look.

  • I think it's for PC....I dunno, it says WASD and Space controls... unless you can hook a keyboard onto the thing...

  • However, we have few publishers interested in Forgotten Memories, beign in the top 10 list of most awaited games for 2010.

  • Yes, but not many people consider the ipod as a gaming device.. Especially when it can only play a game like this for only 2 hours.. (All 3D ipod games only last 2 hours on the system)

  • @gtas123 Battery life does not influence how good a gaming experience is but I agree ds owns it in terms of gaming.

  • But if the battery life is so bad to the point hwere it's only 2 hours then it can't even compare with a system that lasts 14 hours.. PSP and DS both destroy the ipod in terms of being handheld gaming devices but the ipod admittably has it's fair share of good games too.

  • Well you have a good point. I don't even bother playing Ipod Touch games on the go because I use it for listening for music and games kill the battery so yeah... but in terms of gaming, the ipod touch still isn't as good as psp or ds though this game in the video looks amazing.

  • @gtas123

The PSP and DS are to cumbersome for everyday travel unless your a 5 year old kid with a sippy cup.

Every ADULT on the planet though has a cell phone and doesn't want to carry a cell phone, music player, and gaming platform in their pocket, unless it's a single device that can do all of these things.

The PSP and DS are the past, the iPhone is the future. 15 years ago Forgotten Memories could only be played on a Playstation 2, now we got games like this for cell phones.

  • Your very stupid.. THe iPhone ISNT a gaming device.. it in fact lasts 2 hours on one charge while PLAYING a game.. The PSP lasts 6 hours, the DSi lasts 14 hours. The iPhone isnt even comparable, wow your pretty pathetic.

  • @gtas123

And your a fucking moron !

Last time I checked, there is 150,000 video game apps on the iPhone !

Thats more games then all video game consoles over the last 20 years combined !

and ! With EA, Capcom, Ubi Soft, Konami, and other well known game publishers developing games for the iPhone then it's pretty clear that they view it as a device to host their games.

Battery power has nothing to do with what is or is not a gaming device. That should be pretty fucking obivious !

  • It's over 24,000 games on the ipod you r-tard. And battery life determines if it IS a handheld gaming device or not.. There is no such thing as a non-portable handheld.

  • @gtas123

Wikipedia says 150,000 but regardless of whether it's 150k, 24k, or 1 video game, if you can play a game on it, it's a gaming platform.

Based off your logic, a first generation Game Boy wouldn't be a gaming device because the batteries back then died after a couple of hours of use.

Batteries mean nothing, the next generation of iPhones will have stronger batteries and then ones after that even stronger batteries.

    Handheld = Portable = Battery Operated = PsP = DS = iPhone

  • The first generation gameboy actually had a decent battery life.. about 5 hours or maybe more. iPod has 2 hours.. Thats HORRIBLE. Also, based on your logic, my cell phone is a gaming platform because it has built in Tetris. And my phone is 30$.

  • @gtas123

Whether the iPhone's battery life lasted 2 hours or 2 days it makes no difference. If you can play a game on it, it is a gaming platform.

Now you might argue that it is a poorly designed gaming platform but it is still a gaming platform, and yes, your cell phone is one too if it has Tetris.

    Why ?

Because the NES 30 years ago had Tetris. The irony is the iPhone has games on it that the NES could never run. So yes it's more then qualified to be a gaming platform.

  • 30 YEARS AGO? Ugh, your a serious failure, please just gtho..

  • @gtas123

Nice attempt to derail the debate by arguing tecnicalities , whats the matter got nothing better to use to defend your arguement.

  • @TheTruthIsGonnaHurt the truth hurts dosent it

  • @matrixlone

I see what you did thar!

  • and did you just say 15 years ago? 15 years ago the PS2 DIDNT EVEN EXIST.

  • hope you find your dad

  • I agree, yet of course, the iPod touch was designed to be a quick play in line or something like that (And of course playing music). I think if the game has plenty of save points, autosave, or the ability to save at any point, then large-scale 3D games are welcome!

  • Yes, quite alot of gaming webites are talking about this wonderful game.. But I am just saying that the game would be very widely known fi it was on the PSP or DS.. And if you start making games on the PSP and DS you would be an extremely-known developer too.

  • Agree 100%. :)

  • And about Nintendo not allowing games like this.. If Nintendo allowed MadWorld for the Wii then they would allow anything onto their systems.. EVen sex games.. Which are quite popular on the japenese DS.. This game could easily be ported to the DS.. And not to mention you would get alot more money by working on a DS version as opposed to an ipod game.. because the DS has a much much bigger hardcore gaming audiance.. If you how hyped Dementium 2 is..

  • Good work, definitely much thought is going into producing these games.

  • The iPhone version is coming soon. Spring 2010. ;)

    Cheers.
