wow - again?? Reading her epilogue after Christ the Lord Out of Egypt, I saw that she had put much research into reclaiming Christianity, after Catholic, turned atheist. I ultimately respect her decision and do believe that she is one of the most well read and studied contemporary writers in the field of exploring the metaphysical, as well as the historical past of religion and metaphysics. I'm a "Christian" and I completely understand where Ann is coming from. I would never forget the day I set in church and heard my pastor of 2 years spread lies about Islam and 911. That was the last time I ever step foot in that particular church.

Since then, I haven't been able to find a church that hasn't tried to have some political agenda. Whenever Pastors endorse candidates, run the other way. I feel that once a pastor endorses a candidate, they should lose their Tax Free Exemption.

I have to agree with Anne Rice about organized religion. Current Christianity is as far away from what Christ meant as they can be. The religions are all major money-making conglomerates. If you try to publically question the doctrines, they go after you because (after all) you are a threat to their ability to pull in the money from their treasury. By-the-way, I am Catholic, but (like Anne) I see what's really going on.
