  • seems like a korg nano kontrol remaked into korg nano nano feat sesamo street

  • seems like a the venerable casio vl-1 but remozed with steroids

  • so sexy

  • I'm buying one next week.

  • NEVER WORTH 799 !!!!!!

  • Don't let the look fool you. While it may look like a toy it is unbelievable powerful. Sonoio released a couple tracks that were exclusively made on the OP-1 and they are absolutely top notch. Give the Teenage Engineering SoundCloud page a listen to see some examples of the flexibility and sound quality of device.

  • its looks an amazing device but its way too overpriced. Im pretty sure that they put a lot of work into this and that is prob why. But Im hoping for a better, cheaper version in the future. Looks too raw.

  • looks shit, looks like a kids toy!!!

  • looks dumb.....not good

  • Too bad every sound he produced sounded like a 2002 vst piece of shit plugin. id rather spend my 700 on drugs n hookers fack off!

  • Where can I get this? It looks great for travel :) or maybe the microKorg, but idk

  • Hey Dwight Schrute created a synth on his beet farm. Somebody please tell him that we cannot finance his agricultural endeavors with this overpriced plaything

  • They don't look very teenage....

  • Can you make your own dubstep with it? like the bass drops and all that stuff?

  • @000Z9A Weill....Its Midi compatible :P so yea

  • the headphones are another 600 dollars haha

  • i hope he meant 7.99 rather than 799

  • everything teenage engineering sells or makes is fucking unreasonably expensive, Yeah, i said it! from the ruler to the lamborghini.

  • Interesting synth. I like the tilt(?) feature very much - does anyone know of any other synths that have this? Great for expressive moves during performance. Don't like the price very much, it shouldn't cost any more than a standard Iphone or netbook.

  • at 2:56, it starts like Trahison - Vitalic !

  • "now it works." ;-)

  • so can any one tell me how much the final price is going to be or is? I wont to buy one so badly.

  • @Inkv7 it is 800 dollars =/

  • @iswearshes18 wow....so is it out know? or is it been out? The only reason I would get it is so I can imitate the begining of the song "one" from swedish house mafia.

  • @Inkv7 Yea it is available to buy, but I saw some "tech expert", Joshua Topolski, talk about it on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this past Monday and he said that it costs $800, but on the Teenage Enginering website, where its sold, it says $850, and it does sell out a lot, so you have to keep check on it.

  • thats the controler swedish house mafia uses in one !!!!!!!

  • I think they made the mistake of focusing too much on the visual design to detriment of the actual synth...

  • DUDE!!!! Buy a korg for less money and more sound. Idiots will buy this crap b/c it was in the swedish house muffia vid... 3 fagets themselves... axwell, angello and ingrosso super big cawks with little peepees.

  • Am I the only one who says: Swedish House Maffia - One!!

  • The functionality is stunning and it looks super good but i dont think the design is al that functional. no midi?

  • i bet they'll sell plenty of them.

  • I dunno about the 800$ price tag... It does seem to be an innovative little instrument, but I don't think it is really worth that kind of money.

  • the screen is cool but unnecessary, yet this little wannabe casio needs it to have something over other products. are you guys serious 799 dollar for this? man i could buy a REAL synth with that kind of money...

  • sounds like a 1983 casio . yuck!

  • hardware and screen is interesting. synth seems pretty primitive.

  • That thing looks beautiful. I definitely want one.

  • what about the color-blind people?-.-

  • It would be nice as a controller as well, so to say it belongs in toy's R us is simply not very smart. the design is elegant and the build is lasting.

  • This looks like it belongs in the Tate Modern not an arena.

  • well.. 799 $ :/ if anyone know for cheaper ,write XD!

well guys, 799$.. but its still solded out:o so..

  • well.. 799 $ :/ if anyone know for cheaper ,write XD!

  • how much does it cost and where i can get it

  • umm they already sold out .. so yeah people will pay for it

  • bring down the price and people will buy.

  • Thanks for sharing this, much appreciated.

  • i saw this on the swedish mafia "one" music video....kinda disappointed seeing it work this badly

  • If the dollar wasn't so undervalued, European Musical products, mainly like Access and Vermona would be so much more reasonable.

  • Novation Ultranova does more in every way. and cheaper. but to be honest most synths can do more! disappointed. someone explain what all the hype was about?

  • @one7seven It's portable huuururururruruahsgadsldfgjkasdfh so it's better THAN ALL OTHERS.

  • @ExpiredSkydiver $799 better? I think not!

  • @one7seven GAWD SON I WAS JOKING

  • should not be 799, more like 199

  • @aznfuu11 Agree, would say 300 max, just cause its hyped, 799 is just unreal

  • Comment removed

  • @aznfuu11 The OP-1 looks like a toy. But it is extremely powerful. I had a client bring one into my studio and I must say that I am extremely impressed. I would easily pay $1000 for one of these devices.

  • @aznfuu11 IDK about 200 bucks... but 800 bucks is ridiculous. I would snap it up in a second for 400 bucks.

  • nope they Suck in Person , cannot create alot of sound , the 8 synth engines only make like 30 sounds tops , plus effects , should be 200 dollars sold at Toys R Us

  • @JSprayaEntertainment What if you decide to hook it up to a bunch of modular systems? Say a Buchla 250e

  • @gmangigson to each's own man ( some people still make music with very old things i would never use ) but music is an art , and because some may not like the mona lisa , doesnt mean its not art or its not good ..

so have fun with what ever you like ...

Most important thing is to sit in the music store with your product for days before you buy .. i wasted a lot of money on a MPC .. now im trying to sell it for 20% of the cost ...

  • @JSprayaEntertainment Very wise advice. Thats pretty much what i did with my korg, now im trying to get at least some type of modular system do put it through. it seems that you can start with one sound, but then hook up a bunch of other devices that tweak and modify the sound in their own way and end up giving you a sound thats awesome though very hard to recreate.

  • @JSprayaEntertainment Really? I wanna make music like Skrillex and all those type of dj's. But I don't know what to buy yet. Could you give me a list ? It would help a lot!

  • @ltlrenati fl studio , sprectrasonics plug ins

  • @JSprayaEntertainment I don't know what keyboard to buy. I was planning on buying this one. But it doesn't look like people are impressed

  • @ltlrenati It's called Dubstep

  • @Torrontegui I know it's called dubstep ;)

  • @ltlrenati skrillex makes more house than dubstep. well i know his most famous songs are house. then again last time i bought a skrillex record he made DnB. such an odd person.

  • I would LOVE to ge one of these on my hands, master it and create a couple tracks for The Regular Show! UGH...

  • but it still sounds like GM =/

  • Got in the first 500, mines on it's way!

  • Comment removed

  • 799, made of aluminum, but filled with dreams and new sonic kingdoms worth more than gold!

  • 799 and it's not made of gold? shame

  • Venom ... $499

There Gonna have to give me one to Shut up !

  • @JSprayaEntertainment Amen brotha!

  • Fråm de äjtis jo nåw

  • VERY cool.., but man that's a bit steep on the price.

  • 8 synth engines including sampler and drum machine, built-in effects, step sequencer, 4-track "tape" recorder, 24/96 signal path, 16hr battery life and USB connectivity! Nothing else remotely like this out there. Love it!

  • nul...

    un beau design

mais un son pourri à 800euros!

  • @puisk26 tant que tu l'as pas eu dans les mains.... tu sais pas... c'est en beta encore, attends de voir :)

  • the inbuilt speakers sounds a bit shit..but I spose it could come in useful

  • @GranulatedStuff they were using those bose speakers located about an inch away from it you tool.

  • @toodietoodieomg

Oh ok... so it just sounds shit anyway then ...fair enough...cunt

  • this sounds pretty good it would be cool if you could connect it so the display could be a tv or computer the graphics look vivid

  • Haters unite...

This is'nt just an overpriced Casio, it's a pretty inuative groovebox with loot's of goodies. I pretty hooked with the sweet colorcoded UI and the tape efx.

  • Very cool display!

Dont like the rest so much and I assume the sound is crap since they dont have any samples on their webpage.

  • to all haters, SOLDOUT!

  • this isnt a good presentation of what this thing does guys

  • Wow. All of the functionality of a 1988 Casio-Tone for ten times the price! Someone's ambition far exceeds their abilities!

  • $800 bucks and they cant throw in the headphones?

  • I guess OP-1 would be better as an iPad App than a overpriced hardware synth. Those small keys are unplayable anyway, thought I hope the nice looking GUI will find it's way into more useful instruments.

  • Wow needs to watch some more to see what this overpriced shit can do !

  • Accelerometer ftw!

  • what are the accessories?
