@raphy79 Come by my cross-fit... I've been going for a couple months now, and I am completely amazed at how the girls outwork me. This is in addition to the fact that we have the greatest motivational athlete. A woman that started out at 400lbs... She lost like 30, and then tried out cross-fit. She's the beast of the gym....beating most people at WODs... scaled of course... but her effort counts for everything. She makes me keep going when I think my lungs are going to burst into flames.
Wow, you are my hero. I started CrossFit a couple months ago and it is really kicking my butt. I love it. You are awesome! I think we're doing Murph on Satruday.....I'll use you as my motivation, lol.
Excellent kipping technique. I've never been a fan of CrossFit's use of kipping pullups, but I know that it does aid in work capacity. Still, dead hangs count in real quals.
that is not pull ups lol shes bloody swinging to get her momentum ne one who thinks they are doing anything good when doing a pull up like that is nuts. but as below youve said youve come along way you'd need to have. wich reminds me i need to get fit again.
your an idtiot, she not just swinging her body, its a technique called kipping, what it does is use and incorporate different muscles, and kippining is actually a very hard technique to master, and its just as good for u as regular pullups, u've obviously never done crossfit

Your a fool ive trained with some world class athletes, boxers you probably have no experience in anything other than pumping your ugly ass up with steriods.
i've never taken any steroids or pefrormance enhancers, im 14 and only 120 pounds, but im stronger that most kids my age cause of crossfit, i mainly train in crossfit and still win lifting comps, and im a boxer/MMartist and most of them use metcon training dumbass
You really are an idiot. These are kipping pull-ups and they are the standard for CrossFit. Kipping, a gymnastics skill, is actually very hard to master. So go read up, then try again.
And I guess I am an amateur, since I certainly don't get paid to do CrossFit. But I have been doing CrossFit for several months now, and training seriously for a few years before that.
By the way, you were the one who said "wich (sic) reminds me i (sic) need to get fit again."
Your an idiot. You have not trained with world class athletes, and doing laps at the track as they workout does not count. Listen look into something called the stretch-shortening cycle. Then go learn a thing or two about muscles and how they work and are developed then come back and post your shit. Maybe watch a men's gymnastics comp. Watch them on the rings. While you are at it check out some vids on Oly lifts.
She's not doing a proper CrossFit pushup, since she's not going all-the-way down. In CrossFit you are supposed to be "plank-like" and not crane your neck towards the floor.
Don't get me wrong though... Everything else does look very good, I am amazed at the chinups. My Dad's an old pole vaulter/gymnst and scoffs at kipping chinups, but I understand the reasons for kipping)! BTW... You also have gorgeous glutes!
@MalkyC Also in addition to the fact that you have come a long way: A Cross-fit workout sometimes is not designed to allow you to follow form the entire way through. It is designed to kill you. That's why some of our workouts are named "Death by XXXXX" Pick your discipline. When it comes to the lifting portions, form is more important for safety, but when it comes to doing Murph... you get through any which way you can. You look great, and you're brave for posting. Thanks for the max effort!
99% of people do not hyper extend there arm, and she is.. in fact she is kipping the appropriate why, a more controlled kip,and consistent with the body movement.
Swinging like a monkey is not an effective pull up. If you can not do 100 (for the murph) with good form, get help. Whether you do 1 or 1000 form is key, and she doesnt have it.
Beautiful, powerful, tough and hutsy woman who doesn't mind pushing her awesome body to the limits! Rather have this than Brittany, Paris AND Pam together!! She is more real woman than all three put together.
Those are terrible pull-ups. She's raising her legs and swinging which doesn't count. Done properly the legs are kept still(although they can be bent) and no swinging!!
Not to sound sexist.. but amazing to see a girl do that many pull ups... very impressive.. love crossfit!!!!!!!

It's called kipping and is a key component of crossfit. Try doing this workout before you comment on it.

It's physics - this is the way to maximize force and build the most amount of power in the least amount of time. This is effective and efficient.

yes. 6.11 for the mile before the workout and 6.49 for the mile directly after

CrossFit recommends kipping pullups because more work can be achieved in a lesser amount of time compared to a strict pullup.
