In my opinion this is a grod version of Mary's boychild, BUT in the history of music people have made some songs that other people should not be able to cover, and this song (original version was ofcourse made by the captain of the bananaboat, the Incredible king of the calypso) Is one of those.

Don't even think of touching this song again Mister Tom Jones.

It is a Belafonte song and Harry Belafonte is a much better singer than you will ever be. Anyway, merry christmas.

I'm glad that John Paul II initiated the "Christmas at The Vatican" concerts. I understand, however, that Pope Benedict has discontinued them. It's too bad. The reason is that one of the invited singers decided to make some kind of political statement criticizing the Vatican. She ruined the whole thing. I was looking forward to seeing more of the concerts. I though it would have been a nice annual tradition. When someone invites you to their house you ought to behave yourself !!!
