The thing about P5 that I have always liked is that behind all the cool pop art posturing are people with a real sophisticated outlook on music and it's all topped off, naturally, by the warmth of Maki's voice.
This was on Pizzicato Five's 1993 CD album "Bossa Nova 2001." Mostly the US releases of P5s stuff where repackagings of tracks taken from the original Japanese albums. Therefore, there is a ton of P5 stuff not released in the US.
I just want to say that this melding of eastern music with Japanese sentiment and the magic of these two talents is overwhelmingly moving. I looked up the lyrics and there is a translation out there. I've always loved the song, now I REALLY love it. All their work is fresh and enjoyable.
P5 ... daisuki. 'Nuff said.
