  • Did you need a floppy disk to run the computer because I have a Mac Classic and whenever I turn it on it comes up with a small image of a floppy disk with a question mark on it on the screen??

  • @colmosul (New account, same dude) No, I did not... That computer in the video had a hard disk installed with the OS on it. I think the Mac Classic had build in hard disks as a standard, so if you have not removed it, it might be something wrong with it. My Macintosh Plus on the other hand I need a floppy for, since they never came with a hard disk.

  • Never open a computer that is crying.

  • hey what´s the song´s name???? ´cause I like it so much :) MAMAMADU TATATATA

  • Anything would.... but 7 is one of the fastest on the markets

  • yeap ist fast but leopard boots faster..EVEN faster right?

  • @luismartinvg I don't know how fast Leopard is, I just have 7 right now, in about a week, my PC will run both Snow Lep. (or a lower version) and Windows 7, so I guess I can find out.

  • Good vid but the music sucks

  • man that thign is old but i love to see them like this technology has come to far

  • the thing i did not see on your computer

    is speakers

  • There on the side of the monitor

  • I saw 2 mac classic 2s on side of road in good condition! i should have got them!!!

  • Is it a memory expansion card sticking next to the HDD? damn you, that's rare equipment. Nicely done, thanks.

  • Mine has that, too. Mine, according to my research, was the high-end Classic, with expanded memory and a bigger hard drive.

  • hmm that thing is a powerfull beast! u should play some call of duty 4. lol

  • or crisis!

  • Or Left for Dead 2 and COD 6

  • oddd looking outlets on youre wall,

  • The look like that here in Sweden. =)

  • @themacintoshguy You don't have an earth pin in sweden?

  • @user12119 It is not a pin, it is two blades on the plug that connects with two blades on the outlet...

  • @user12119

i guess thats why theres a switch

  • i wonder if it can run os 10 lol

  • If you mean 1.0 then yes.

  • I like how the music stops so you can hear the chime

  • my tv has more guts then this :) btw i wanna call u a dumass (not offensively but just saying u made a dumb choice) to take it apart there wus only about 68000 released and u took it apart bro thats like breaking the faith diamond lol.(jp)

  • well all the ones that were in our school (except for two which me and my sister got for putting up the flag everyday), we given away to 3rd world countries.

  • ohhh now i understand.

  • how heavy is it?

  • 5lbs maybe its about as heavy as my subwoofer.

  • Ha, it uses IDE interface, I wonder what it would do if you put like a 2TB hard drive in it (I know you can't get 2TB on IDE so shut up)

  • It's a SCSI hard disc. An IDE won't fit at all ;-)

  • WATER COOL IT!

  • why do other countries use different power outlets?

  • looks like tv

  • where do you live?

  • sweden

  • so the screen took up most of the space, imagine how compact that computer could have been if affordable LCDs were around back then.

  • lol@ding

  • Altough some people would wish that, I meant it's a final release of the new architecture.

The architecture change was the reason why a lot of drivers failed to work. under 7, everything Vista-able works as it should.

PS: why did so many people dislike my previous comment? I only said the truth.

  • Haha, Swedish Mac!

  • sorry, what is the name of the song in the background?

  • Knatten ft. DJ BoBo - Vem är du bakom din skärm

(I have no idea where you can download it)

  • sorry, where can I find it?

  • power unit all the drives, heat sync and a crt screen all in one place...How did we all not burn our houses down?!?

  • they never got too hot

  • I know, but looking at a system now, and the inside of those CRTs do get hot, easily 200°F @heckshotstuff1

(which, paper burns at 450, so it's not fire temperatures, and also that's surface temp, not exterior temp, or interior with distance, I'm not saying the whole thing was that temp) Just looking back at the older stuff with the specs of our newer stuff...

  • crysis on all high on that thing........

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!=D

  • GEILE Hintergrundmusik!!!

  • NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIII!!

  • Why the computer was crying?

  • Why was the computer crying?

  • Wtf Swedish music :D

  • Whats the name of the music?

  • haha, allah music? it is swedish

  • samssoftwareuser, idiot you are.

  • Shitty music

  • better then vista!

  • vista is for higt-end pc's

  • Wrong. I'm running a P4 and Vista moves just fine. Besides, 2GB of RAM and a DX9 graphics card are pretty much standard nowadays.

  • maybe you use only wordpad and paint :)))

  • Crysis, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition...

Just to name a few games a can play on my P4.

    ;)

  • do you want a medal?

  • Vista is not for high end PC's but Microsoft did NOT spend enough time on it. I think Vista = EPIC FAIL! And XP = MAJOR EPIC WIN OF ALL TIME AND BEATS ALL OPERATING SYSTEMS EVER!

  • Microsoft said Vista is a transition OS, kinda like Me was a transition between the old 9x and the new NT-based.

Windows 7 is supposedly the final final OS.

  • So that's the purpose of ME. Anyway, isn't Vista patterned after ME?

  • if you compare a pc from the same time as a mac

the mac is wayyy more advanced

  • your not ment to use crt monitors without a case they give off radiation

  • I'd be surprised if the plastic case was enough to absorb even a fraction of it.

  • Agree with you there dddaaannn

  • @dddaaannn360

This is !!! WRONG !!! CRTs' glass contains a huge amount of lead to absorb the X-Ray radiation produced by the cathode (in the tube's neck area the glass contains about 70-90% (!!!) of lead derivatives). The plastic case of a CRT monitor or TV will NOT take ANY effect on the X-Ray radiation emitted to the environment of the device. Anyhow, the emitted X-ray radiation of a late generation CRT is very low.

  • @mrnmrn1 THANK YOU!

  • @dddaaannn360 I'm sorry, but that's stupid. The tiny amount of electromagnetic radiation that is emitted from CRTs is so small that the worst that could come from it is perhaps your eyes would get tired quicker. And do you really think that the thin plastic case would block any radiation at all? Not to mention a large part of the CRT is exposed directly to your face. I find it hard to believe that somebody actually started that rumor. GOD >:[

  • @16mmDJ Yeah, get that straight!

  • @dddaaannn360 Shut yo mouth. Do you know anything about CRTs?! They don't give off that much radiation?

  • what size hard drive

    and

    eny fans

  • 1. i didn't think computers could cry, 2. NEVER open a computer when it is crying, 3. Why Was It Crying?

  • @Stere0123 I thought that was a cat

  • Hi, when you press on the power supply port on the backside of the Classic, you can lift the back case without using a skew driver.

    Nice video!

  • MACINTOSH_

  • why?

  • you can upgrade the hdd to 5 gb oinly becuase any more will make it crash

  • poor mac

  • What Language is that song singing? And Where did you record that?

  • swedish

    singer: Markoolio

  • no not markolio but still a swedish song

  • I NEED to have this song. I can't seem to find it through the site listed, but that is probably because I can't speak the language. Can anyone direct me?

  • i can send it on msn :P add kraftwerk_92@hotmail(dot)com

  • Ok! I added you, hat_stylin_naota(aat)hotmail(doot)com

  • Imagine to mod that..... :o

  • LOL,like that ad: "The real genius of Macintosh"!

  • I remember working on those Macintosh computers at a Mac sales and service location. We always made sure to use the grounding probe to discharge the anode underneath the red anode cap - apparently, one of the technicians told me that a shock from the CRT will numb your arm up to your elbow.

  • I know. but I din't tuch the CRT. But I did tuch it one time, and nothing happend. Where on the tube is that dangeorus voltage?

  • Up by the cathode cover on the edge of the tube, near were it actually displays video.

  • Up by the cathode cover on the edge of the tube, near were it actually displays video.

  • Sorry, the neck of the tube. Nearly 30,000 volts.
