GREAT VIDEO.i'm 43 years old.I REMEMBER PICKING up coke bottles.OR mow yards, rake someones yard, just saving up to buy a model car. OR go to the movies. i was 8 or 9 back then. THAT WAS FUN WITH FRIENDS BACK THEN. all of the kids did it that WAY BACK THEN. growing up with people who cared. and wanted see the good in us.THE MUSIC TELLS THE STORY. no video games then.
I have always ejoyed, brings back alot memories around camp fires, I had friends who played and would sing all night this is one of the songs. My friends are now in heaven, God Bless ya Woody, Mike, and Jimmy
This song holds a LOT of meaning to me. Back when I was a 16 year old traveling kid a kind person named Greta Bateman housed me for almost a year. She'd always say John this song has a lot of meaning. Listen to curtis low and enjoy the simple life. That entire year holds my most cherished moments. Hope you get to see this one day maybe we'll meet again further down the road.
This song always reminded me of home when I was deployed to Afghanistan. The song had the "smell" of my father's basement where he would play old Skynyrd albums.
Such a sad song! Skynyrd's gone but they will never ever be forgotten by me or by anyone else who loves the South! Rock In Peace Ronnie! Free Birds Forever! The Ballad of Curtis Lowe!-my #1 song from Skynyrd.
Superb Job!!! Someone couldv'e easily used recent pictures for the vid which would be untrue to the era in which Ronnie lived.I'm sure these are the types of images he was trying to conjure up in peoples' minds. They're certainly the images that's come to my mind when I hear this wonderful song.Anyone who dislikes this song MUST be into pre-programmed club shit & or new music.I'm looking for the best version of a song for my playlist & I've found " Mr. Lowe " right here. Thanx Kate, & cheers!!!
I love this. I think you did a great job with the video. It absolutely works for me. It is one of Skynyrd's best and that is saying a lot. They didn't make a bad song then.
It'd been better if you'd used a real 'Blues' tune with these pics.. I ain't knocking this Skynyrd tune, it's damn good. But.....it ain't working fer me.
BOUGHT THIS ALBUM FOR THIS SONG AT THE TIME WAS INTO THE BLUES AFTER LISTENING TO THE WHOLE ALBUM WAS HOOKED AT 55 YRS OLD I`D SAY THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS AROUND AT THAT TIME. R.I.P. GUYS AND GALS
Hey old guys , play this stuff in front of your kids and see how much they like it. My 6 year old daughter LOVES THIS STUFF!!!!! If we keep it alive, all good music will carry on and on.
@geo321100 my kids are now all grown up and still to this day never miss a chance to see them and listen to the originals at least once a day.........
this is real music no bullshit money women hoes or satanic homosexual garbage. Just real music. It seems to be way beyond the comprehension of most people these days
American classic!!! You feel like youve been down south when you hear skynyrd.the open skies, country roads and bottles of jack, They brought it all to life in the songs. R.I.P dudes, see you in the roadhouse in the sky someday.
@mike47ashling Cool! You were at Knebworth? I saw them in Lakeland, Florida two days before the plane crash, October 18th, 1977. Street Survivors hadn't been released yet! Great show. They make me proud to be a Floridian!
my fav. skynyrd song...they may be gone, but their music lives on in my children and now grandchildren. what a great time to be alive...the music was true talent. no glam needed!!!!!
I am from London in the UK, and absolutely adore Lynyrd Skynyrd, this song is one of my all time favourites. I have a very good friend in Gainesville, Georgia, and have spent a great deal of time there including Savannah, what a beatiful place, this song always remind me of the South
Everytime i go to the bar and i go to play the jukebox, a girl yells out play some some skynarddddddddddddddddd maaaaaaaaaaaan lol. Lynard skynard kicks ass and i have to agree this is 1 of the best songs out there.
Nice job Kate in putting this together. Curtus Loew and Simple Man are the two best songs that Skynyrd ever releases, Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama are great songs, but overplayed in their day.
The song and pictures are great, but one of the "dobros" shown is actually a resonator mandolin! (Just check out the short neck, round body and eight tuners.)
wow..that was one of the best videos ive ever seen.....blues players dont get enough praise for the timeless music they created....people dont realize how much it shaped music as we know it today.....once again great video....
house but besides the point this is a great song i cant count how many times me n my homeys somked weed to this song just sittin back enjoying life move past around us
god, i stumbled all over Ft. Nelson with my buddy Harlen and with every pocket stuffed with beers singing (screaming at the tops of our lungs would be a more accurate description) this song at 3 something in the morning. good ol Curtis......
This song is awesome and I love how skynard is about a good time. Im 15 and cant stand this pro-violence shit that every band writes. I love the anti-violence and good time music of the 70's this band is one of my favorites cause every song they writes anti-violence or its just about a good time. The lyrics didnt mean shit as long as they could play and they could play and they were awesome.
I heard say this song is actually about Rickie Metlocks grandfather or something like that. Anybody know? Skynyrd was not only the best southern rock band but the best fuckin band of all time. NO IFFS ANDS OR BUTTS!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think this song is one of their best, or at least as good as Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, Simple man.... but hardly anyone knows this song. whats up with that?

Great artist paint pictures in your head and thats what skynyrd did its like an unwritten fact that curtis loew was homeless but they dont tell us we imagine.
I am great fan of Skynyrd, I only discovered this song after the demise, what a fantastic tune. I so lament the passing of so much talent, but I was privilaged enough to see them live. God rest all of your souls

I am great fan of Skynyrd, I only discovered this song after the demise, what a fantastic tune. I so lament the passing of so much talent, but I was privilaged enough to see them live. God rest all of your souls
