  • @3:02 Alliance Worgen

  • THis is such a copy of lord of the rings. And no im not talking about the story. I realize J.R.R Tolkien and C.S. Lewis were contemporaries and friends but these battles for the sake of the movie seem to be cookie cutter copies of the lord of the rings movies as far as cinematography

  • 4:18 poor gryphons

  • I call it the baby step march! 3:55

  • "You`re a . . . Mouse" "You people have no imagination!" Best line ever.

  • Well on the other hand when you have 4 cavalery units, close to 400 soldiers against 150 little creatures, you don't care about strategy.

An lets be honest, if they didn't plan the ground trap, the cavalery only would have owned them by charging and the archers would have been beaten by the rest of the army.

  • 3:55 were comin ta spear yo ass

  • Who wants to live in Narnia with me heh?

  • y is narnia ALWAYS compared to lord of the rings?

they didn't copy anything, the trees were in the book, they did the movie like the book

    end

    of

    story

  • Last march of the ents

  • Ahhh damn they drowned the horse...

  • Peter and Edmund are sexy beasts

  • This is a strategy I hav to compliment, unlike the lion withch n wardrobe th

  • After playing games like Rome Total War and Medieval Total War, I cringe at the pathetic battle tactics of the bad guys. Such a poor performance from a superior force...

  • @berserkberserker yeah honestly, the all out cav charge was just retarded. but still when all of nature basically wants you dead, you aint gotta chance.

  • Run Forest, RUN!

  • They used trees...

    that's cheating.

  • cool

  • This scene is great and all but a lot of scenes were cut out for some reason. Why is this?

  • So the battlefield was the Dancing Lawn, right?

  • that guys a beast at 2:15 literally

  • 6:57 C.S Lewis you shameless bastard! xD

  • @Vanlayale ?

  • @totallybindipop

would you mind telling me what I said before hehe xD I can't really find my comment :P

  • @totallybindipop

Oh never mind... anyway I didn't mean for it to sound aggressive, it's just the trees moving is so Tolkien...or C.S Lewis... these two guys were best friends so it's inevitable that they'd share ideas hehe xD

  • It seems like Aslan ate two people's faces off when they tried to kill Lucy and Peter

Peter from last movie with the white witch and Lucy when the solider was chasing after her.

  • the whole movie is epic

  • autor is noob

    cut a lot of movie

  • 5:20 to 5:38

  • They should've never charged the infantry or the cavalry. The cav in that ditch were at the mercy of archers, they would've either had to charge the line or retreat both resulting in heavy losses. Then as the infantry in advance, cave it in then. Do not commit your cav until you have to or there is opportunity like flanking a giant mob of infantry. Commanders in this army are not smart. The only reason they ever win these battles is some one stronger comes to save them. Children != commanders.

  • do you feel forced to cut like this?

  • hahah,

shame that innocent horse had to drown at the end.... or be eaten ???? summin?

  • one thing i love about this movie...

the kid who likes Susan in the beginning is a Jew, the kids are British, the Telmarines are Mexican, Aslan is American, Trumpkin is Australian, Glenstorm (the centaur) is African, and Reepicheep is Italian.

  • Actually Tolkien and Lewis were good friends and they probably shared ideas too. In the book the scene it's like this, so it's not a try to copy the Lord of the Rings( And I am speaking as a huge Tolkien fan) . Anyways, no copy or cooler remake intended so...

  • Lol. It's like nature vs industrial revolution :P

  • This is why you should save the rainforest, or you will need saving. Also don't hunt lions. They can summon Poseidon.

  • @MrBrowne0 haha lol Also don't hunt lions. They can summon Poseidon.

  • @TheNinominator

    so can percy jackson

  • @IWayfarerI Well they were contemporaries so perhaps they borrowed a few ideas :). Well I did not mean the books when saying that, but I meant the films. I just could not shake the feeling that the makers of Prince Caspian really wanted to make this scene feel like a "cooler" version of the Ent battle from The Two Towers. That is usually not a good sign.

  • Holy shit. I never knew a Lion could create that @8:46.

  • @Kylemccormick1

Comparing Aslan to lions is same as comparing Chuck Norris to humans! XD

  • is the minators friend now

  • @nightleone08 Yes. The Magic of the White Witch was controlling them, so when she died, they were freed from her control.

  • Does anyone else find William Moseley incredibly sexy, especially when he's killing people? <3 <3 <3 <3

  • The humans look so badass in this movie!

  • @LastXdeth they look like a 14th or 15th century Spanish army except without the gunpowder based weapons. If only they used canons and arquebuses as well...

  • @supersmash43 forget that reapeters and apaches ftw

  • 3:16 the have been out flanked

  • Comment removed

  • i still think peter, edmund and caspian are hot ,<3

  • drun tuh bapa kamu ikut perang

  • i got a question doesnthe video skip some parts?

  • @marmexful yep

  • 8:46 mother of god, it's Saruman!

  • there is a fucking deer charging in middle at 3:16

  • 8:45 is that Poseidon? The God of the sea is now a slave of Narnians.. hahaha

  • the trees are the best xD

  • this is war like 300 Spartan

  • Anyone with a brain can tell that the C.S Lewis books were more Christian orientated and religious generally. There are broad themes. J.R.R Tolkien and C.S Lewis were good friends actually. Even so, Tolkien disagreed with the level of theistic impressionism and direct comparisons. I mean, Tolkien wrote masterpieces in a league that even surpassed the genius of Lewis, arguably. Yet, The LOTR legendarium is very religious, but is not nearly as direct. God (Eru Illuvatar) is there, but hardly part.

  • 8.55 ULMO!

  • 0:07 first i heard "Granade!" :D

  • That was great strategy they had going there!

  • Oh, and they totally ripped off Lord of the Rings with the fighting trees. I do not care if it is in the books, since it is blatantly obvious that is what they were aiming for.

  • @jjzgamer Ah well, when Tolkien thought up Treebeard, he actually based the character on C.S. Lewis- especially the slow way of speaking. So if anyone is entitled to borrow the "fighting trees" idea, I'd say it's him ;-)

  • @EraiGhaell Yeah but the living trees idea still came from him.

  • So we have mythical Narnia creatures versus the Spanish (yes, these guys are so blatantly Spaniards!). Could have worked to good effect but it just feels lackluster especially because there are (sad this is a complaint) too many battle scenes. Sure there are better visual effects, but the intensity and charm just was not there this time. Also, the mouse bugged the crap out of me after a while!

  • Peter and Edmund sword fight like pros. Susan fires arrows like a boss. And Lucy...gets Aslan to summon an entire army of trees. 0_0

  • thank you for uploadng

  • 8:45 is aslan father!

  • i hate how you cut the parts to make it shorter keep the entire scene for once

  • Thats more obiedant horse than I have seen in my entire life. Sad. Live on crazy horses!!!!

    And GREAT JOB!!!!!!

  • 2:44 "I'm using a red arrow so I know who I kill"

    -Nelson from Simpsons movie

  • Lord of the Rings for kids... I'm 11 and I watch LOTR too. xD

  • The gryphons are so cute

  • You people have No Imagination lol

  • @caztaz1999 the funny thing is that if you hear the commentary of the movie the telmarine that reepicheep kills is the guy who animated him lol

  • Anyone notice how it takes years for the cavalry to attack but the infantry gets there almost instantly?

  • I love at 0:38, the general adopts the good old British "you go get em, I'll wait here" approach to war.

  • @Dburtonize Good old British? Fuck you.

  • hmmm flimsy people on horses vs. minotaurs, centaurs, bears, lions, tigers, boars, deer and a badger.

  • I love susans skills with her bow and arrow!!! Isn't she the best?

  • the water guy has cool hairflips =]

  • for some reason the person who is 1 rank lower than the king is always more evil than the king

  • YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!

  • How do they even adjust the aim on those trebuchets?

  • 7:52 IT'S THE MARCH OF THE ENTS!

  • 5:55 thats fucking female Legolas

  • @arackan1 sorry legolas is cooler

  • @WarriorElf54 of course. just saying that she is very good at archery

  • 3:38 OWNED.

  • @TTotallyBindii You know.. people have used cavalry (as an example) for centuries. Nobody could ever be that stupid. So that it came out in 2008 makes it even worse -.-

  • @TTotallyBindii Just to point out how incredible stupid this battle scene is.. Look what commander would ever be so retarded to send in the cavalry first!? That's just damn stupid. Why did the catapults not hit anything!? Why not just use archers to pick of those two pricks in the middle!? Oh wait.. they are immortal. And who the fuck what EVER give the command to 3 or was it 4 KIDS!? That's even more stupid.. This movie does not contain ANY tactics at all. The evil could have won easily.

  • @secuter Hello there, good sir. Considering this is a movie aimed for kids, i think that any actual critique of the cavalry charge pictured in the video might be pointless. You're talking about military tactics in a children's movie. In a fantasy movie designed to appeal young viewers.

This is Narnia. Not the History Channel. Not Lord of the Rings.

This is a fantasy movie made by Disney.

TL;DR... it's time to stop posting, turn off the computer and get some sun.

  • @ColonelLarfleeze That it's ment for kids is not the same as it have an overall stupidity. Don't you think that it's weird that you put children in command, depending on them to rescue all, and if they fail all will die? -.-'

  • @secuter Yeah, it's weird. But again, it's fantasy... analyzing fantasy and attempting to make sense of it, it's kind of useless. And, in the other hand... those kids were chosen by 'Lion-Jesus' or something like that... it's kinda like saying Pokémon is stupid because they have kids tame the monsters and not use them as weapons of war or having a teenager bitten by a radioactive spider and not die of poisoning or cancer... dude, chill out and watch something instead. Take some fresh air.

  • @secuter The Narnians are using composite bows are they not? I mean composite bows are way more advance than most bows used in the west including most crossbows are they not? The Telmarines' archers would've been easy food for the Narnians since the Narnian archers clearly have the upper ground.

  • @avatarspirit57 That's true that they use composite bows, which was in fact the best bows. Some crossbows was stronger BUT there range was not as long. True they would have taken many out, but there's not many archers, not to mention that the telmarines, which you call them have 2 catapults.... which can't hit.... Even though that the archers would have killed some, the Narnians didn't have any real cavalry, and the archers are just for support. This is just bad tactics.

  • @TTotallyBindii Maybe its because Lord of the Rings is better?

  • this movie was so bad ! no magic nothing like the first :'(

  • @OOGuizmoo which was quite bad too -.-

  • WTF, ENTS?!

  • The lesson learned at 7:00.......Don't Fuck With NARNIA! lol

  • Jesus did that he said that he belongs in hell with the devil for his treachery

  • @vanderdecken12 no he never said anyone belongs in hell i have read the bible like 100 times

  • @WarriorElf54 i know but im just phrasing this okay, and it also says that he has the power of judgement

  • Wow they show that 1 narnian can take out something about 50 tellmarines... what a bullshit!

  • Narnia needs explosions. Just sayin'.

  • surely they would have gunpowder 500 years since the first movie.

  • little man at 3:30 thinks yeeeeey i can fly

  • GOOD ECENE

  • NATURE IS HUMAN FRIENDLY REMEMBER YOU DEVIL LOST IN NATURE

NATURE IS OUR GOD`S GIFT TO HUMAN BEING IN THE DAY COMES GOD IS GOING TO WIN 1.23 THE PEOPLE WHO LOVES ALL HUMANITY WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION WIN ALWAYS 2.66

  • Now this is lotr for kids.

  • Comment removed

  • @killerboy4441 Yes, it is :) It was written for kids around 10yrs old.

Final version of LOTR was for older readers :)

  • So how do we make The Lord of the Rings so fucked and twisted that it will never be recognized..

We put in animals that can speak, Trees that can talk.. not with like a face - no the fucking leaves is it's face! - heroes who can't be wounded. Retarded scenes that reminds of "was that just Legolas?" Oh.. it was just a little girl -.-'

Scenes where you think "So he talks in a middle of a battle that everybody should charge... what about shouting?" Why did the catapults never hit anything???

  • @secuter you have a point in the books susan wasn't an archer

  • That Telmarine commander has a very hoarse voice lol XD

  • Anybody else see the telmarine walk towards the trees at 7:06?

  • nowhere near as good as the lion, the witch and the wardrobe!

  • no stupid, the title goes there not the tags

  • Everybody who knows a little bit of military tactics knows that cavalry is supposed to engage after the infantry has entered combat. A cavalry charge, like this one, was doomed even without the trick.

  • @MebefromBelgium The charge was done out of rage.

  • @izjerker What rage? Wasn't it the guy who ordered the cavalry to advance the same who killed his own monarch with a captured arrow only to be able to attack?

  • @MebefromBelgium You can see that guy wasnt thinking right , he was mad .. and when your mad .. you do ugly stuff

  • @MebefromBelgium not true, case in point: LOTR Return of the King.

WOW I sounded like a nerd there XD

  • @ProdigyIncorporated You're giving a fictional counter argument to bust a real strategic principle. I'll be nerdish too: ROFL!

  • @MebefromBelgium Telmarine's idea was to finish the narnians quickly. They've tought it would be easy.

  • @trolodeamylee That's another strategic mistake they made: Never underestimate your enemy.

  • @MebefromBelgium yeah, but during the entire movie is what they did. In the beggining they tought the narnians were extinct...

  • some really fucking bad editing though

  • lol love how pissed off that tree gets when his m8 gets hits

  • the psycho who disliked must be a talmerand soldier

  • And this is why you don't want to mess with nature. :D

  • wow,aslan just call poseideon..what a world..

  • No imagination:D

  • old man river got pissed

  • but in this movie was ¡2! battles ... : /

  • "THE BATLLE OF THE FIRST MOVIE WAS BETTER"

  • @planta46 i agree

  • @BLASTSTUDIOS101 THANK YOU,MY FRIEND

  • @planta46 well it was was i mean the whole slow motion scenes and the '' noooooooooooooooo!!!!! parts however this was gay there was just little dudes vs flaming centaurs and minotaurs and stuff and there was no combat all they did was get eaten by water not outnumbered and cornerd and to be honest fallling in a hole and get shot by arrows is kinda a lame way to go dont you think???

  • @planta46 Yeah, I agree it was so much better in the first movie.

  • when you mess with nature, nature fucks you up

  • this made me appreciate trees

  • Nothing is more epic than a giant throwing Telmarines.

  • best plan of attack....EVAR!!!!!!!

  • the cronicles of Gandalf Prince Aragon

  • The Chronicles of Narnia: Children's Bible

  • Nice job man, i loved the video.

Narnia is an epic place which alwys revives our childhood

  • dwarves with bows?strange

  • Indeed, the river God look like Gandalf.

Ironical, when you know that in the first LOTR, he personnally gave to the water the look of horses just before ring wraiths take a BIIIIIIG cup of water...

And don't forget : Don't throw a huge rock on a giant moving tree, because... He could not like it.

  • Somebody tell me why this didn't get an Oscar Nomination for Best Visual Effects?

  • las batallas de narnia siempre son buenas

  • is the enemy a combo of ROme+spain?

  • the acot who lay peter came form my tow :)

  • When a giant is throwing Telmarines you know its an epic battle.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • EPIC MOUSE ATTACK FTW!!!!

  • love the bit at 3:28 where a giant hurls a horseman at another guy... :P

  • Comment removed

  • some very effective catapults. are those used in any real historic battle in Europe or another place?

  • @Suport7000 Type "Trebuchet" in wikipedia or something

  • @Kalnaf ty

  • Notice that the weapons armour and helmets of the Empire's soldiers look like to those the ancient macedonians had! ! !

  • Envelope the enemy army and crush them. The most efficient and sometimes difficult thing to do in a battle.

  • "Don't be hasty!"
