I would strongly recommend using rocket dock. You can download a mac osx theme onto it too and it's really easy. Just pop the file into the other ones in the C drive with rocket dock and restart rocket dock :D

@TheDOSUser I know for a fact that it's possible to switch the sides, but I also know it can mess up the system files and leave you with a messed up window. It can't be done using this software and another application would be needed to do so, but since I have not gone into it, i can't help you there sorry :(

To change the taskbar for longer than 30 days, install tuneup as the trial and then change your taskbar like shown in the video. Then uninstall tuneup and there you still have 29 days left and it looks different. Or you can search for the full free version on yahoo like i did.

yup, if u wanna try rocketdock and get a theme pack, u might want to try that. it's a little smoother at times, but if you have a fast computer you should be fine!

yep of course. to uninstall the theme you just choose "Aero Style" back from the TuneUp menu. that way it turns everything back into the original windows vista theme (black).

to uninstall the rk launcher just go to "Add/Remove Programs" in your control panel.

i think i was running SP 1 when I made this tutorial. did you download and install vista glazz? because that download i'm pretty sure works with SP1 and SP2 but might support one more than the other. if not, try a few other themes from the pack. let me know if it changes at all!

I kindof find it funny how Vista or Windows users want that "Mac" look. I have XP & just bought a Vista laptop for my son, and I prefer simple interface to fancy (like XP).  Vista has nice eye candy, but runs like cowpoop, compared to my XP machine. Too much fancy, and not enough put towards a smooth / fast running system. Don't get me wrong, I like fancy, but not at the expense of performance. If Vista (or Win 7) can give both, I'll change my tune, but till then, I'll stick to simple.

that's very weird cuz i did it on my other computer, which is my parents' and it did not change their theme.

just go back into TuneUp and change the style to "Aero Style" and it should look completely normal again. And uninstall the dock.

i really don't know how to keep separate themes on different accounts then im sorry :(

you can always just place the themes into...

C:>Windows>Resources>Themes...­. and place it into that folder. but if you want to do it that way, you would still need to install "Vista Glazz" and run that program.

I know TuneUp can be a hassle but themes get so confusing to install sometimes without it, that I'd just rather use TuneUp lol :)

after you move both the folder and MSStyle of the theme you like into the "Themes" folder, you just double click on the style file, and Apply. Good luck!

just open up tuneup utilities>customize windows>tuneup styler>visual syle

the default teme of microsoft windows is "Aero style". so just Apply that theme and you should be good.

also uninstall the dock as well :)
