I KNEW IT!!!! Ever since I heard Peon (Beefheart), all I could hear was John Frusciante's old drug albums (which I love). Now I know where he got his inspiration from! Love it!

I've uploaded myself playing it. This is pretty good, but they missed a lot of the feels I think. The sound is perfect though.

Your version is a fine effort, but the original playing at the same time makes it a bit pointless - you should record it whilst listening to the original on headphones....and don't forget to add the bass!

Anyone that takes the time to learn this deserves great credit no matter what sort of rendition it is.

Like most Beefheart stuff, it's a shame most people simply don't get it - their loss.

@thekwaze Thanks, Yeah I know it really sucks but I didn't have any headphones, and it was so quiet out of my laptop speakers that I couldn't hear it anyway. My friend has just finished learning the bass part so well upload it as a duet soon!

Captain Beefheart might sound like uncomfortable listening but theres a goldmine of inspiration for guitarist and songwriters in his music, not so much from any song as a whole, but from every couple of bars of this even you could get the inspiration to write an entirely new song
