If that isnt enough I left a 10 year old dell (already old and tired) on my deck for one year just to see what would happen. -30 below, 100 above, rain, snow, humidity, bugs, grass clippings and bird shit. I plugged it in and powered it up first try. No cleaning no adjusting no bullshit, hell the even bios battery still held a charge. Try that with a mac ;)

@ninluigi Apple osx uses JAVASCRIPT which is HTML and is not as powerful or capable as windows which is programmed using C++. It is a lot more stable and most of windows failures and errors are easily fixed. I have repaired a few drives in the past and have worked as good as new even though they are 7 years old. When a mac gets an error or a fail, usually the machine needs to be replaced. I build my computers from scratch and my newest ones have never had any issues

It's all in how you take care of them, truth of the matter is stupid people can mess up windows by doing stupid things. These same people (switchers) have a little harder time doing this on a mac because everything is so locked down, this also comes at a price to the consumer.

Are you thinking of C#? Which is similar to Java? Which as it turns out isn't all that similar to JavaScript. Windows is made with C++ yes, C# is also fairly popular. OS X apps are written mainly in Objective-C, which is a superset of C. You can code Mac apps in C++ too if you want.
