@IdolHans they just need to realize that the majority of people who are willing to pay money for a 39 year old recording usually either want it on vinyl or at the very least a CD. Im only in my 20s an im already sick of all this "digital only" bullshit
@bear06460 Why don't you just download it and burn it to a CD? I did the $5 download of their Brussells concert & I can burn it. It's a lot cheaper for them not to put a full concert on a packaged CD with paper, plastic, etc & have to be distributed via mail or stores. It's cheaper for you this way.
@Grendelmonster8 Because its nice to have a hard copy of a show not some crappy burned CD. I would gladly pay the money for a real copy of it and I know alot of other audiophiles would to. The majority of people buying these recordings are people who are into bootlegs and collect music as a hobby. Casual fans may want digital files but people who are heavy into old recordings want something tangible. Theres no reason why they shouldnt do both.
I have not even glasses ! but I play guitar ! E A B ! dinner with the gentlemen should be a good time to talk about the human condition, loneliness power of music in rock and roll ! Go have coffee at home !
Denver Coliseum, June 16, 1972... My fist time seeing the Stones. The energy on stage and in the crowd was so thick you could cut with a knife. Mick was nothing short of amazing. When the emcee announced the opening act "Wonderland", no one knew what to expect. Then Mrs.Stevie Wonder escorted her husband on stage who wowed the audience with a great set of his biggest hits. Little Stevie Wonder, as he was once known , warmed the crowd up for the frenzy when the Rolling Stones hit the stage.
The Rolling Stones are proud to announce the launch of StonesArchive com where international fans will be able to buy their 1973 lost live album "The Brussels Affair", have access to exclusive sleevenotes, view limited edition photos, films and rare merchandise. Fans will be able to purchase exclusive merchandise, lithographs & deluxe box sets.
Almost all songs are from the SECOND Brussels show. Only Brown Sugar, (the famous Brussels) Midnight Rambler and Street Fighting Man are without any doubt from the famous FIRST show. I''m pretty sure all other songs are not. So we have quite some new and nice material here. I'm already enjoying it :-).
My first concert in my life was a Rolling Stones at Bern 26 09 1973... changed my life for ever! Today I can remember the smell of the smoke-effect used on stage.. and i'm always excited when im playin cover on Midnight Rambler (on Get yer..)..
I can't acceed to the link from Switzerland, guys !!
Great news on it's release! ...... Except I'm in Britain. What about us?!!!mick Taylor is magnificent in that show. Hope they use him on any 2012 shows
yes, everything becomes a memory...no matter how young & on top you were (& no matter how long it will last) eventually everything becomes a memory...
I found the bootleg on the internet. Great music. Unfortunately, I fear they may have mixed the charm out of it (similar to Zeppelin`s BBC sessions) . They should release this on CD though.
When Keef dies can we smoke his ashes?
