Never disregard the Picts, they are still there. I liked this film even with Mel Gibson playing a Scot and Hollywood people paying the money. Not historically correct but when ever has Hollywood been correct?. Enigma Machine comes to mind.....Lol!. Best bit is when the mad Irishman says Ireland is his "Ireland" and then kills someone as he thinks "They are not right in the head"!!!

i can definitely say as a Scotsman . Mel did a damn good job in this film. I have no problems. It was frankly brilliant. Everyone knows that , the performance was damn good. I dont know any Scot who thought otherwise. This was def his best performance. and jesus he was good. v good. he could neary be a jock himself !

I never judge a character based on the actor in real life. Most actors in real life do some crazy things but in films they're acting...the character in the film is not them. Mel Gibson turned out to be an overly religious nutjob but a lot of the characters he played in films were actually good...this film included.
