I actually play an acoustic bass (tacoma), and can play an upright as well, but especially when we do this type of performance with a one mic recording, i like to use an electric because its deeper and lives under the guitars, which come through perfectly here. While i'm very quiet on this recording, in the room, at the time, it helped establish the bottom end. good point though.

I despise rap and hip-hop, but I will give you credit for combining that sort of feel in the vocal parts (though I could have done without the silly hand motions) with something more like an actual style of music (and yes, 12Medme sent me here, so if you got the "rap isn't a style of music" reference, long live WLiiA .

To be fair, I'm mainly into metal, so this is not the sort of thing I'd normally listen to. Take my opinion with a grain of sand
