Forcing the budget to be balanced would at least eliminate the problem of snowballing debt. It's a step in the right direction

I saw Gary Johnson's interview on ReasonTV. I also like him and hope he runs. As for Palin,my primary problem with her is in the area of foreign policy where she unfortunately is interventionist to the core. In domestic policy there's hope. She was an early voice against Obamacare and I think she can be counted on to oppose tax increases,but as of now I'm taking a wait and see attitude. I'd like to see the details to her policy plans.

I don't think that they are much at odds on foreign policy. He seems to embrace a noninterventionist foreign policy and like his dad he believes that congress should've had a vote on whether or not to declare war on Iraq and Afghanistan. Unless I'm mistaken, like his father,Rand would've voted yes on Afghanistan and no on Iraq. Also,like Ron,Rand opposes sanctions on Iran. Their biggest disagreement is on the issue of prisoner detainees. Rand seems to favor military tribunals & Ron does'nt.
