  • Yeah man i also got it on my face but wth its still the same person, and its not dangerous in any way so yay !

  • Great video man, you should be very proud of yourself :)

  • 1:02 you are funny as hell, man !!!!! Naw Bitch I'm in pain !!!!

  • hey I have had vitiligo too, I got it when I was six and it was the hardest thing. I'm 23 now and its apart of me, I don't think I'd ever want to change the fact of what I have. I read an earlier comment you posted to someone when you gave advice for their 10 year old sister, you said you were proud of who you were, thats good. you should be proud and you shouldn't be limited as to what you can do. Kudos to you for making this video, I think its beneficial for everyone.

  • dude youre awesome! i have vitiligo as well. that is all. :)

  • Hey dude!, I am from India, I too got this vitiligo when I was in 9th grade. I did not take any medicine, I used to spent lot of time under sun and I have forgotten the taste of citrus and lemon... recently I visited a doctor named Elizabeth in bangalore at St.Jhons Hospital. I started UVB treatment. I would say its getting better and the white hairs at the affected areas started to get black. I am using two anti-vitiligo creams... It gets better.... Hope it helps for some one...

  • If you have vitiligo and you feel ashamed of your self its gonna get worst!

There are worst things in this world, so dont be embarrassed of your self.

People might look at you but thats natural, i do the same thing with people that look different. Just live life to the fullest no matter what.

  • thanks for sharing :) your awesome!!!!

  • you're an amazing person

  • NOTE TO ALL NEW PEOPLE WITH VITILIGO:

To my knowledge, there is no ill effect that comes with Vitiligo, unless you consider color patches bad. I have had it my whole life and do not have any other conditions that can be traced back to it.

Also, don't try so quickly to change yourself or the other person you know with Vitiligo. In ways, Vitiligo has actually HELPED me. It is a great conversation starter, and has helped me make friends that I have had for ages.

  • hey buddy i just looking up vitiligo and saw your video. yea like i feel the same way about it to. but the thing that sucks for me is that i got it on my area and only there so i was just wondering what i could say to my girl cause shes been asking me what it was and i just keep telling her there birth marks so she doesnt think its contagious er anything bad like a std. should i tell her what it really is er just stick with that same story?

  • @TMNT34 I think you should tell her what it really is. If you are going to have a healthy relationship, then you shouldn't keep secrets whenever possible; They might come back and haunt you.

  • hello,

my sister was recently diagnosed with vitilgo, shes only 10 so she doesnt undersand how severe vitiligo can be.its been only 6 months and it has spread all over her knees, feet, and its starting on her hands and underarms.im realy worried that she will start to feel different and ashamed of her have vitiligo.what can i say or do to prevent that from happening.how can i make it seem like its no big deal.any advice?and i really appreciate this video and may god be with you.

  • @missN1995 I always like to say that God gave me a custom paint job. At her age, some people tease, but that decreases greatly over time. I am a sophomore in High School and people rarely if ever ask anymore. Is she getting dark or light patches? If they are light patches, just have her wear sunscreen much more often, as sunburning is frequent. Other than that, I don't have much advice other than tell her that if people really respect her, they'd look at the inside, not the outside. ~Anthony

  • @atherrien95 well some of her patches are lighter than others.she started light/laser treatment about 3 weeks ago but still not results, also she has this ointment that we apply for her 3 times a day.i have done some research about a vitiligo diet and it said that she cant eat red meat, dairy products, citrus friuts,or anything with vitamin c.do you follow this diet?what treatments have you had?what worked best for you?

  • @missN1995 When I was two, we tried the ointment and UV treatments, which made me sick, so we stopped those. My skin coloration settled when I was about three and hasn't changed since; I am now 15 and happy the way I am...I can't picture myself any other way!. My advice would be to just let her be, let her eat red meat, citrus, vitamin c, etc. Just because she has different colored skin doesn't mean she should be limited. Most treatments for Vitiligo fail anyways.

  • cool what a cool disorder it should be bad, you look like a dog with spots well not really, how that happens?

  • @milojhanju

Hello there, would you be able share the name of the doctor. Recovering 75% in 2 months is quite a feat. I haven't gained anything in years and have practically given up. Is there a website I can go to>

  • people who are saing there is no cure it's because they didn't try enought to get the right treatment, I hope don't understand me wrong cuz i have vitiligo also but I'm curing my self with somme pills and exposure my body to the sun or uv light, that's simple and I'm from romania, you guys there in usa or another place why u think there in no cure? if there are trataments for deadly disease what can happend if u cure a picmentation problem who don't affect the body function?

  • @milojhanju Thanks, but no thanks. I'm not looking for a cure, I'm happy the way I am.

  • i hate there is no cure for vitiligo.. i also have vitiligo...

  • Haha I love the video bro! Much respect and appreciation.

I have vitiligo too. I was born brown, now I'm 95% white (see profile pic)

To all my vitiligo pals out there! Start thanking your vitiligo! For me vitiligo basically ans: being aware of a physical mask that will help you live without masks at all and truely be yourself from deep within.

Best thing that ever happened to me!!

    Much love

  • try ALOE VERAA. I have seem improvement on my vitiligo with aloe vera gel.

  • i admire you..i have vitiligo for 3 yrs..

  • You seem to have come to terms with your condition which is very admirable. I have a minor case of vitiligo, 10 or 12 small patches on my chest, but I am afraid of it spreading. I haven't seen any new spots in a few years now, but I am constantly on the look out...

  • are you in ok? :P No bitch im in pain what it look like..... :( Lol love that part but also informal

  • haha oh shit i love this kid takes courage to do somethin like this i certainly could not do it peace and love brotha

  • Who ever messes with a person because how they act speak look etc has noting to do and there life if nothing

  • ur funny no bitch im in pain lol thats was funny since im a fan of mj i look up a lot about vitiligo (i dont have it though) ur funny

  • i have it in my face.

  • I hate treatments; I got vitiligo when I was 7 years old, and my mother thinking I was gonna have problems in my teens(which never happened; I was never teased and boys would ask me out) forced me to do a lot of treatments. I stopped when I was 16, but now I'm a diabetic type 1 which requires to be taken care of if you don't wanna have a slow painful death.

  • diabetes has nothing to do with the vitiligo. (or at least I don't think so.)

  • I'm talking about type 1, the insulin dependent, it is autoimmune just like vitiligo. My doctor has many patients with both; there are also other autoimmune diseases, such as autoimmune thyroid disease, well...a long list that are related to vitiligo and diabetes.

  • @atherrien95 yes they are associated, both are autoimmune diseases where the immune system attacks itself. The melanocytes in the skin responsible for pigmentation (in some cases, not all cases of vitiligo) are destroyed by white blood cells much the same as islets of langerhans in the pancreas ( that produce insulin) are destroyed (in type one diabetes, NOT type 2) like the WBC's would normally do to a pathogen in the body. Basically the body is attacking itself due to genetic misconfiguration.

  • @Stain83 Does it make any difference that my "pattern" has stayed virtually the same for most of my life?

  • @seilahqlq1

Hey, I also have vitiligo and type one diabetes. I was diagnosed with diabetes first and then with vitiligo at the ages of 12 and 16 respectively. I'm pretty lucky however as mine hasn't really spread much at all and I'm 26 now.

On another note relating to this both disorders are genetically associated as they are both categorically auto immune diseases, being the immune system attacks the body instead of protecting it from being attacked.

  • I have it :)

thank you for posting this video !

  • i have vitiligo search on youtube "stem cell iran" its about a guy with vitiligo who has stem cell treatment for this vitiligo

  • People with vitiligo, etc, have a more tougher time, being that there are so many judgemental and critical people on this earth. Often, they just do it for the sake of amusement, or because they find making fun of others very pleasurable. I hope for your sake and people in future with the same condition as you, that they will be accepted more by the public, and awareness of this disease and what it ACTUALLY is, will be well known and heard of.

  • *condition. is better wording.

  • I too have Vitiligo and it is very difficult to cope with but, you just never look back, keep moving forward with your life. There are many other skin conditions out there which I can imagine how tough it is to deal with, but as I have Vitiligo, I'm sure all Vitiligo patients would agree with me on this one: we are very strong people of many others out there to walk out in public and face our fears everyday.

  • lol rock on little man, i too just got diagnosed with it on my face. No biggie, life goes on.

  • Mines on my right arm elbow ish.

People at School.: OMG YOUR SKIN. ITS WERID.,you have Mj Diease. (R.i.p<3)

    Me:Thanks. (:

  • Funny video. Great message. I have vitiligo and i treat all people with respect.

  • i have vitiligo too but its on my back and really small patch nothing to worry about people at school say i have michael jackson disease lol

  • I was diagnosed with Universal Vitiligo when I was 15. Both of my parents are dark skinned. People are Ignorant thinking It's painful or Contagious. Its good that you posted a video to get your point across. As of right now I've lost all the Pigment in my skin.I still have dark spots on my thighs but thats about it.sooo yes. lol

  • I have Vitiligo on my left leg. People just ask me if I have a fungus, then I say "Yeah, it's highly contagious!", if they're wearing shorts then I'll rub my leg on theirs to freak them out. LOL! But all joking aside, I don't think Vitiligo is a big deal, my biggest fear is that I'll get skin cancer (without pigmentation it makes it easier to get skin cancer since skin pigments help protect the skin from harmful sun rays) luckily it's just on my leg and my left eye.

  • dose that hurt having vitiligo

  • no. it doesnt

  • my brother has it but he doesnt get picked on like some kids with it because he kicks the shit outta them lol but my grandpa has it too, and my brothers friend and his sister and his dad, so i know 5 ppl with it. no biggie

  • hey, will u be completely white? or still some spot of ur real skin is present?

  • Hi. Great video. My son is 6 years old and started getting patches on his fingers and now on his face. I was just wondering if you are using any creams to try and reverse the pigment or to stop it from spreading? Cuz the one we got from our doctor is not working at all. Also if i could ask you how old you were when it started? My son is only 6 and doesn't really understand what is going on with his skin. Anything you have to share is welcomed. Thanks for your time.

  • i got vitiligo and i wanna kill my self...

  • WHY would you want to do that?! there is NOTHING wrong with vitiligo.

  • oh My God, dont say that. You are still u, if you're fine about it the majority of who ever you're gonna meet in your life will be too, and if they're not, they arent' worth a damn penny.

  • I felt the same But I believe me we are unique thats great! GOD BLESS YOU!

  • 'dont go all religious and crap' LOL

  • Awesome. every single person in the world should have that :D

  • yo bro! You have the right attitude. I am 29 and I never let vitligo stop me from doing anything! IN fact, it's helped me in life! I love my spots! I am married and I've always used this to my advantage with everything I do. Don't care if people get freaked out. Don't care what they say. People are cool with it if you are.

  • Thanks!

  • Your a great kid, very brave fro doing this and you look great too! I think your a handsome kid and you are going to grwo up to be a great young man. Also remember the cure is around the corner soon. Also, there are treaments out there now. but, remember you look fine the way you are. Anyone who gives you crap can't see the real you. Stay strong and lok foward to the day very soon when there will be a cure.

  • I'm not really looking for a cure because it doesn't do anything bad to me, and like I say; "when it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

  • I have it to and people do that to me all thee time!!!! Anyways, great vid!

  • Thanks!
