There was a time when I would have agreed with you but not after 8 years of Bush. I now reject the notion that it does not matter who is president. Consider where we'd be at now if Gore won back in 2000.
Obama is a good promise of a new begining of USA. Lets take that chanse otherways entire country will go down with no chanse to recover for long time as new economies (china, India) coming up.
Funny how Obama NEVER says in any of his speeches HOW he will do everything he promises. If you have something to say, you should have a solid plan to back it up. This shows how inexperienced he really is. It is easy to tell people what they want to hear. But I want to see him back it up. It is always the same thing with him. He is a very good speaker, but I want to see him walk the talk instead of just blabbering. Unfortunately he will probably be elected in November, but nothing will change.
If you want to know what Obama wants just check with his big corporate sponsors, the banking industry and what they want he will do. Obama is owned by banking and he will do what he is told he is owned.
Ever get a "Comment pending approval!"? If you make an opposing remark Obama staffers identify you by your account name and censor your comments when they don't like what you post. They'll block your comments from all "their" videos. It's undemocratic!
You can tell which videos Obama's staffers have posted by how they portray their point of view and all the comments are such suckass. Try it if you don't believe me.
he ignored the fact that shifting those jobs elsewhere lowers prices in america and creates wealth for investment, he ignored the fact that half of people in poverty owned their own houses, he ignored the fact that it wasn't bush policies that got us in the recession, it was the destruction of our currency by the fed, he ignored the fact that health care is screwed up precisely because of government involvement. He'll say whatever it takes to convince idiots that he'd be a great president.
At least John McCain doesn't attack people because he isn't strong enough to stand on his own history. Or maybe it's because McCain has a history in politics. I don't know.
I like Obama, because I have never seen him do anything below the belt. But this is. This is what John McCain said in full on Bloomberg:
"I think if you look at the overall record and millions of jobs have been created, et cetera, et cetera, you could make an argument that there's been great progress economically over that period of time. But that's no comfort. That's no comfort to families now that are facing these tremendous economic challenges."
he took that out of context for the sake of the show. i think if he's going to criticize he should at least quote him in context considering he's been trying to take the high road in making these speeches.
He just bashes Bush and gets applause then says something like "we can do better" and gets applause. He never talks about himself or what HE would do, he just tells you stuff you want to hear and you all say "Oh my God what a great speaker I love him!"
Time for a New Deal! Barak Obama is the new Franklin Delano Roosevelt! Roosevelt lifted America out of economic despair and revolutionized a better American life. Obama in 2008, 2012, and 2016!
Wow. Although I wouldn't vote for anyone other than Ron Paul, I must admit that Obama is a talented orator; he moves me. There's no denying his charisma. It's his voting record that bothers me.
When are people going to learn that trickle down economics do not help the people that really need it. Obama is the new FDR, and McBush is just the same old agent of the Rich.
Obama is again twisting McCain's words. McCain wasn't cheerleading the economy, as Obama implies...he said that one could make the argument that the economy was doing well based on added jobs over the past 7 yrs, then he went on to talk about how that's no comfort to families who are sitting down wondering if they're going to have to sell their homes and such.
Barack Obama talking about economics is like Rosie O'Donnel talking about marathon running. Each point he makes is either a) False b) A nominal figure or c) has no negative effect on the economy. For example, moving jobs to Mexico actually improves the US economy, reducing costs of the products and services they affect, thus lowering price levels in the US, shifting (but not eliminating) jobs. In reality, the unemployment rate while Bush was in office was at a record low for several years.
Stop trying to have the government take care of you.
Thomas Jefferson once said,
"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."
It's so funny. There is McCain, the multimillionaire surrounded by lobbyists who wants to give tax cuts to the the richests Americans. And there is Obama, who's single mother needed food stamps, who lived in a 3rd world country, who until recently drove himself to work and flew coach, who went to school on scholarship and had to deal with big loans
And McCain is calling Obama the out of touch elitist.
That's so backwards it should be used as a proverb about something being really backwards
I am not American people.....but i believe Obama will be the best president for America, and hope he will bring peace life to all people in this world

Bhuto proved that if a woman is strong, inteligent and worthy leader...GENDER DOSN'T MATTER! Even in the most macho, sexist society like Pakistan.
Well Bush did get the home interest rates go down. And his first 4 years were fine. I think when you look at all the years. Some was good, and the ending part was not so good. Obama is just harping on ONE SENTENCE. And obama wants to do what? Tax everyone who has a little something and more making it impossible for anyone to get ahead? That's not the change I want.
barack obama is a wonderful person with a great personality but he isnt too experienced, i don't feel i know enough abouty him, and i dont agree with him on the issues. of course, i dont have the right to vote yet.
I hope that people don't lose their focus with what they want out of this election due to the ongoing Democratic primaries. I REALLY want Obama as president!
I disagree with what the majority of American people believe.
McCain is completely detached from society and reality, living in a fantasy dream world of DC, where everything is free. Thats what McCain thinks he is entitled too, screw the people he says, as long as us good folk here in DC get ours.
We have the chance of a lifetime to elect this man. If we mess this up and elect McCain I'm seriously moving out of the country. But I have faith that America has smartened up after what they saw with Bush. At least I hope so!
We have the chance of a lifetime to elect this man. If we mess this up and elect McCain I'm seriously moving out of the country. But I have faith that America has smartened up after what they saw with Bush. At least I hope so!
I always knew McCain knew nothing of economy, but calling a recession a "great progress"? Now I definitely know he shouldn't ever become president. Obama will be the only one to stand for change, to change Washington, to change our economy for the better, to improve the well-being of the American people. All is not yet losr.
You can love him all you want, he isn't going to become the President. I agree wholeheartedly the economy needs a complete overhaul and the democratic ideals are more favorable to the middle and lower classes, but he has no chance in a general election against John McCain, you can take that to the bank. A huge government infrastructure has been laying out the groundwork to see he doesn't ascend to the highest office of the land.
Then its up to us, the supporters. We get the word out, we make the noise.
Not even the clods over at Fox can out-shout the voices of many that feel disenfranchised, left out, and ignored by todays government, and believe in this man to bring the change that is in fact desperately needed.
Two years, I believe that is exactly when the democratic congress took power and delivered all that change they promised. I see change, but I also see people buying houses then complaining they can't afford them and crying to govt-lack of individual responsibility, but Obama will raise taxes and bail out these people along with everyone else who fails to take responsibility for thier actions. BIG govt is always the answer and people should shut up and pay more taxes! No thanks, Nobama!
Don't be an idiot. Do you really think that all these right wing myths that you are writing about only started 2 years ago? And by the way, George Bush has a much bigger government than the last Democrat. Time for you to be deprogrammed from the GOP cult my friend. Your talking points are out of date.
First of all this is not a democratic congress. There is no majority in the senate. This is a lame duck congress/president. Its both sides fault for not being able to put aside partisan differences and no one is more to blame than the other.
Secondly you say that you don't want big gov't and yet Bush expanded the Gov't Bureacracy to the "biggest" govt in the history of our nation.
I could care less about the right or the left, I just wanted to correct your inaccuracies.
America has always and always shall pride itself for seeking justice for its people. But justice doesnt stop at the courtrooms; it continues on to every facet in our society. Some are under the impression that if given an equal chance, that they would rather reject the prime opportunity and accept goverment help. Well,I am here to tell you and every other person that thinks this way that these people that WE are a part of and are a part of US as a nation, are lacking due to no fault of their own
Well, when those irresponsible people lose their homes, the twenty other people who live on their block lose equity in their homes because they have a vacant home on their block or the foreclosed home sells for a fraction of the market value. Foreclosure hurts more innocent people than guilty people. Don't believe everything you hear on Faux News.
Then who is going to pay for the debt that Republicans left to our children, armyofonerd? Time for the extravagantly wealthy in this country to pay some of their precious dollars for the debt caused by their pal's reckless raid on the treasury. After all, they have made a whole lotta money off his policies. Time for them to pay the piper. If you think you can get something for nothing, then I think it's time you joined us in the real world.
Try the "tax and spend" liberal joke when Republicans STOP RUNNING up the national debt and deficit. "Less Government" obviously doesn't equal LESS SPENDING in the republicans' eyes! WHat it means is MORE POWER. Less government(oversight) means more power to enrich themselves. ANd why are you blaiming consumers only? WHo LENT THEM THE MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Greedy financial companies who because of LESS GOVERNMENT and OVERSIGHT lent money to people they KNEW COULDNT REPAY.
Now where was this in the DEBATE? Obama gives a voice to us all. THAT is the growing sentiment among PA voters. What Obama WEARS while American soldiers are DYING in Iraq is NOT AN ISSUE MSM - Obama gets it, America gets it.
This time, we get it right.
This time we don't fall for the politics of fear that has plagued elections of the past.
Listen to this, then try and convince yourself that Hillary would be a better choice to go up against McCain,
Cant?
Vote for Obama on primary day. We cannot stand idly by and let our nation get ransacked by the same old politics by BOTH parties.
When we all lend our voices and say "I'm tired, bitter, frustrated, and angry at how I've been treated over the past 8 years, and I won't take it anymore. I want Barack Obama to lead us out of this." Then we have more than a movement, we have an army.
It's so obvious that McCain is the true "elitist" who is out of touch with America. Same with the Clintons who have made millions of dollars in the last ten years.
Guess what... Economic policy will be the same no matter which one of these puppets you vote for.

We have the chance of a lifetime to elect this man. If we mess this up and elect McCain I'm seriously moving out of the country. But I have faith that America has smartened up after what they saw with Bush. At least I hope so!

Excellent speech.

A huge government infrastructure has been laying out the groundwork to see he doesn't ascend to the highest office of the land.
ilope012 3 years ago
Awsome speech! Unfortunately it is one more that the media will black out of their coverage. The networks' goal is to protect McCain from criticism.
flobbledeefleeb 3 years ago 88
Then its up to us, the supporters. We get the word out, we make the noise.
Not even the clods over at Fox can out-shout the voices of many that feel disenfranchised, left out, and ignored by todays government, and believe in this man to bring the change that is in fact desperately needed.
PTKilowatt 3 years ago
I thought it's just fox that does that?
novmati 3 years ago
You don't know what being blacked out by the media is.Just ask RON PAUL!!!!!!!
danbowski40 3 years ago
I completely agree. If more people were able to hear his speeches, he'd have quite a bit more support from everywhere.

I know. It's a sad truth. The republicans have too many friends in the media.
If I could vote in America, I would vote for Obama.

No thanks, Nobama!
armyofonerd 3 years ago
Don't be an idiot. Do you really think that all these right wing myths that you are writing about only started 2 years ago? And by the way, George Bush has a much bigger government than the last Democrat. Time for you to be deprogrammed from the GOP cult my friend. Your talking points are out of date.
o0o0hSarah 3 years ago

Well,I am here to tell you and every other person that thinks this way that these people that WE are a part of and are a part of US as a nation, are lacking due to no fault of their own
lwblack64 3 years ago

Verified1 3 years ago
Try the "tax and spend" liberal joke when Republicans STOP RUNNING up the national debt and deficit. "Less Government" obviously doesn't equal LESS SPENDING in the republicans' eyes! WHat it means is MORE POWER. Less government(oversight) means more power to enrich themselves. ANd why are you blaiming consumers only? WHo LENT THEM THE MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE?! Greedy financial companies who because of LESS GOVERNMENT and OVERSIGHT lent money to people they KNEW COULDNT REPAY.
shanebarrow1 3 years ago
Please.
1. Every time the congress tries to put something useful through Bush vetoes it.
2. The government has grown more under this administration than the past three combined.
3. Even if taxes do have to go up its better than borrowing money and running up the national debt.
ch334792 3 years ago
He isn't encouraging BIG govt, he is simpky suggesting better spending.
thomasjn15 3 years ago
Do you know what a veto is?
Do you know that congress has passed many bills of good, needed "change" that have been put forth by the democrats that the president has vetoed?
Don't try to peg this all on the democrats.
Obama has consistently said that he will cut taxes for the middle class--the people who need them.

This time, we get it right.
This time we don't fall for the politics of fear that has plagued elections of the past.
This time, WE can make a difference, together.
