Lol, this video is crap. There are plenty of drugs that are extremely beneficial for teens to understand their place in the world and to help them figure out difficult situations if used appropriately.
And substance abuse in teens happens for the SAME exact reasons that it happens in adults: kids want to have a good time so they take a drug that temporarily relinquishes them of all responsibilities and problems. Don't try to act like it's just a teen thing. All age groups do drugs and drink.
beer pong sucks it impedes my ability to get drunk heres a drinking game drink drink drink drink drink drink drink drink drink drink drink...and if you drink so much your friend has to drive you home you win.
I also want to add another drug to the ones that have been listed. One very powerful and addictive drug and it's used by a lot of people today and not only is it legal but many find consuming the drug to be harmless. They will claim they are responsible enough to not overdose or cause any serious harm to their bodies, but what happens when they lose control? I am of course talking about the psychoactive drug caffeine. Who's with me? We should be teaching responsibility not ignorance!
DUI doesn't indicate abuse, but rather a lack of judgement, being over .08BAC is a fairly common thing, it only takes about four beers then getting in a car. the real problem is constant heavy drinking, or constant drug use. occasional drug use can even be beneficial to a person's mental health as it relieves stress and allows them to enjoy themselves more. the problem is when the use of drugs starts negatively impacting other areas of their life, that's when they need help, not jail.
If you can't take drugs and continue to create a good life, you are weak. If you're weak, chances are you wouldn't have a very fulfilling life anyways.
Talking from experience! Anything that alters your natural state of mind, is not meant for the body. The sad thing is, that while i was on drugs (14yrs) i didnt know what damage it caused ti my system. Furhtermore, it robbed me of the potential i have discovered since quitting, and am now living my dreams, not merely dragging myself from day to day, with a downer every 48 - 72 hours; where violent moodswings got me giung each day and continually pondering on "where" the next fix will come from

Very good I give you props people are ignorant they will never know until they hit rock bottom. There are lots if good facts and good meaning in this good job ! ;)
When you require a break from reality through the use of an illegal narcotic or a misused prescription drug, that is a strong sign that your needs go way deeper than the substance. You use the substance to fill a hole, the hole is you screaming out for help and not finding it. You can spend all the time you want dissing this video, but in the mean time consider your life without the drugs!!! think on that one for a while.
@dkgentry1 there is a 2 sided story to drugs and the use of drugs i have experienced all sorts of drugs but the bad thing is is that i experienced them starting at age 13, there are things that can be experienced throughout life but no substance should be taken as a road, but as a bridge. what i mean by that is its ok to smoke pot or try shrooms a couple times but not all the time. you only have one life to live make the best out of it. because once you die its all over.
Sorry man but you put up all these images from Google but they each have their own copyright. The image you are trying to put out is that teens are filled with heartache and they fill the void with drugs and alcohol. The truth is people do this by choice due to peer pressure or hypocritical role models such as their parents who go to church then go home and drink until they pass out.
Second of all, reacting to such videos is part of polarization of heavy mechanisms in infrastructures of incredible abusive methodologies of selfportraited abuse and choleric delusiveness as a psychological apperception upon the movement of cynicism.
First of all, this video is an impression of psychological apperception as a result of a technique called choleric delusiveness, its part of derealization and utopianism in the spying apathy that strikes hard with sadism.
You said something that I must correct you on WHY ASSUME THEY ARE BAD? This is part of the stigma and a reason why you don't understand them and another reason why 12 step treatment and religion don't work in helping someone overcome substance abuse. Sometimes, people are just hurting inside and don't have the skills to cope--It doesn't mean they are all morally flawed.
Most of your comments are so ridiculous that they weren't even worth reading. How can you all say that drugs are so awesome? Why can't everyone start being held responsible for their actions. Drugs are ILLEGAL! They screw up your body and your brain, and cause death. Grow up America!
God Gave Us Marijuana to use...Genesis ch 3 vs 29 says "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth..."
Vs 31 then says " And God saw every thing that he had made "including Marijuana & Poppies", and , behold, it was Very good.
Rev.13.vs 10 states that " He who leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity." just read it for yourself.
(Heath Ledger) While filming as the Joker (awesome movie) he had played the character enough to where it caused him to have night terrors and couldn't sleep...he mixed sleeping pills...it was an accidental not a substance abuse overdose!
Awesome! Substance abuse is a huge problem in the world today! I work at a youth correctional facility. Last week I asked the 17 girls we have why they started using drugs. 15 out of the 17 said it was because of abuse and family problems. Drugs were already a part of their lives because their parents or other family members used so it was easy to get a hold of them. out of those 17 girls 10 of them have divorced parents, 5 have parents who were never married, 2 have parents still together.
I'd like to share an experience my father had. He was addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, and got involved with drugs at the age of 12. He suffered because nothing could make him quit, but at the age of 18 he began to understand that God is not about religion but about needing him in order to live life fully. Twenty-six years later, my dad is a successful person thanks to his faith in Jesus. This is only one of the many changes our family has gone through after we included God in our lives.
Excessive drug use and drinking is a choice, an act of volition. Respectfully "God" has as much to do with getting clean as pizza.
Praying as you put it will do zero for the missing coping skills that make addiction possible. Instead of giving them coping skills you give them religion?
I think this is a recipe for disaster. To date no faith based treatment program can prove themselves more effective than the 5% annual self remittance rate.
Not true... I agree that people with substance abuse problems also need to be taught coping skills but to say that God or prayer has as much to do with it as pizza is just your opinion. And I don't have the stats in front of me but Faith based treatment cannot possible be 0% because I have seen it work with my own two eyes. Therefore that can't be fact!! Faith based treatment is just that... based on Faith. Coping skills should also be taught and it IS effective.
I do appreciate you commently on this topic in a respectful way. I just want you and everyone else to understand that your comment is not fact but rather opinion.
Prove me wrong - please do. Cow Towing to me says nothing.
Apologetics for a made up disease have no more merit than the Apologetics for religion and do the same damage.
If alcoholism is a disease then the damage done to a jaywalker by the car is a disease.
There is no controversy, more than 80% of the medical profession happens to agree with my points and not the points of some deluded people who want to absolve themselves of responsibility.

Faith treatment is 0% get over it. Belief in a flat earth bronze age god has nothing to do with a persons irresponsibility.
5% self remit annually, faith treatment keeps with their typical dishonesty and takes credit for something that it has nothing to do with.
You talk faith which has basis in 0 fact and make some claim to fact.
