  • do you have any tutorial on how to install this?

  • @zealot008 No sorry. i did try tho. it came out terrible because i made a mess of it the first couple of times. so it would of made for a bad tutorial. Thanks for watching tho!

  • Great job

  • were can i buy this stuff...i mean carbon???

  • @donttryme17 I havnt looked in ages. just google 3M carbon fibre vinyl and you should be able to find somewhere that sells it. just makes sure its the DI-NOC type. thanks.

  • @InnovationJunkie thanq dode

  • am so grateful there is YT. for good people like u to enlighten us about stuffs like this, thanks a million.

  • @kay19833 Thanks for taking the time to view my video and post a really nice comment, glad you enjoyed it!

  • awesome. im orderin one. can you post a how to vid though im bad with this type of crap unless i see it visually.

  • @PancakePlease Thats great!! i did try to make a video of me applying the vinyl but to be honest it came out crap. it was the first time i have ever done it and it took a few attempts to make it look perfect, so the video was a bad example. luckily the vinyl is decent stuff and can be peeled off and re-done a few times before it loses its stickyness, so just take your time with it and you should be fine. try search for other vinly vids to get tips and advice. and comment back with how you did!

  • im hopefully getting a sony vaio fw but its a diffrent colour will this work for it also how did u get it to fit round the side?

  • @MegaMachelp Cool!, i know i guy with a white sony vaio they are really nice laptops. to make the vinyl form around the edges you apply the vinyl to the laptop lid with some excess hanging over each edge. then with a hair dryer you heat it a little and pull it tightly over the corners, this makes sure you do not get any creases. then one the glue has dried you can trim it with a razor blade along the joins to make it look pro. good luck!

  • im hopefully getting a sony vaio fw but its a diffrent colour will this work for it?

  • how did u do that

  • @iTouchiPodz001 Its actually pretty easy, just buy a sheet of decent Carbon fibre vinyl. then you just peel off the back and line it up on the lid of your netbook. once you get to a corner or an edge you gently heat the vinly with a hairdryer or heatgun and stretch the vinyl over it. its really sticky so will hold to the shape. then trim off the excess with a razor blade...simple!. thanks for your comment.

  • @InnovationJunkie is it hard to trim i really like the look but im like a perfectionist so if i mess up, than ya hahah could i use a hairdryer instead, so line up head and smoothen the cut thanks

  • @b4dk4s Dumbass? i owned this 900a from new, trust me its a 900a

  • @InnovationJunkie i meant the images at the start they look exactly like the 1005ha i am using :)

  • is it easy to remove?

  • @jeremievang Yes its very easy to remove. you just peel it off. EASY!

  • The video is good, the music is retard, nerd, immature, nigga, etc. It makes you vomit. Thanks!

  • @Diostelibre Lol ok.

  • Cheers on the great video - awesome closeups as well! I think I'll be doing the same as you with my Dell Mini! If I like it as much as I think I will - haha - I'll be doing the roof of my 350Z. Thanks again!!

  • @rotchcrocket04 Thanks alot. my brother has a dell mine 10v and i wrapped that aswell, it looks awsome.

i think im going to take the dash out of my car and wrap it also. it will be tricky but i know it will look epic...good luck with your roof.

  • nice music ! I like it :) And video is really nice too, nice texture of netbook.. Good job !

  • Maybe you should have bought a CF kit for 40 pounds, with a square metre CF cloth and all, and apply that instead. Sorry to say, i've looked at samples of real carbon and the vinyl, and the real deal has a lot more depth to it. With a clearcoat, it looks really really good.

The Vinyl is fine, but it's easy to see it's fake once you take a look at it. However, enough bullshit/rant from me. You made a great solution to the problem! -- great job!

  • Thanks for your comment, The 3M vinyl i used is a close to the real thing as it gets. and looks the most realistic. with real carbon you need to apply a resin to make it set, and then sand and polish to make it look decent,,way to much work and money for the same effect as a A4 sized sheet of 3M vinyl. plus i can pull the vinyl off and replace if i wanted or needed to...something you cannot do with real carbon fibre.

  • True, but if you did it in real CF, the resale price of the lappie would highen. At least I would consider it an asset

  • It might increase the resale price, but to be honest this Eee is old now. so they do not sell for much anyway. i covered mine with vinyl so it would not get scratched. when i come to sell it i know it is totally scratch free so looks as good as new,,its up to the next owner to decide if they want to keep the vinyl or remove it. the beauty of vinyl over real CF.

  • Where did you purchase the vinyl you used on this laptop m8?

  • There are links in my description, Thanks.

  • Cool. I used DecalFX for my laptop, they have tons of carbon fiber styles.

  • Thanks for this video, i would really like to see a tutorial, i am starting this up as a side line business.

  • I tried to make a video of me putting the vinyl on my netbook but it came out really bad as it took a few attempts to get it perfect, so the video sucked. it was a little harder to apply than i expected and my technique was terrible so the video would of been a bad tutorial lol. good luck with the Business.

  • Thats cool, you can get vinyl in pretty much and colour and any design you like, there is somthing for everyone.

  • a good source for high quality vinyl is metrodecals

  • Great job! Question though. How do you wrap around edges and curves? It becomes wrinkled no matter what because of the excessive vinyl...

  • Thank you,, with edges and corners you have to first gently heat the vinyl with a hair dryer or hot air gun, and pull the vinyl over the corners tightly, the vinyl is very sticky so it will stick once its stretched. the tighter you pull it the fewer wrinkles you will get. and its very forgiving so if you get it wrong just pull it up and try again. good luck.

  • Thanks, it took a few goes to get no creases or bubbles but its really great stuff and you can work with it really well. Thanks for commenting

  • Hi, good looking job. well done
