  • That black guy...Is fucking huge.

  • THAT IS ONE HUGE ASS MAN.

  • are those spiked wrist braces used in for combat in a monk style in kung fu?

  • @d3sired those are because one of the most famous practitioners of hung gar hurt his wrists but didn't want to stop training so he put on a pair of those, someone took a picture, and people have been copying ever since.

    (monkey see monkey do)

  • good fight but will be great if this really

  • very great demonstration

  • great fighter

  • I kno odell

  • realy sad

  • Did he get such muscular arms with JUST Hung Gar Kung-Fu or did he lift weights at some time?

  • @rockloverdude You'd never find out, it would require something of you that you DONT have, and not likely to grow anytime soon. A Man's set of balls to go ask him yourslef in person. *LOL*

  • @bladesaint21 chill out man. that's not even a little bit funny.

he can't master the martial art if he can't even perform the kicks properly.

  • @rockloverdude How do you know he cant kick? Have you even studied HUng gar? If you did youd know its a Southern style, and kicking is the least emphasised aspect of the art. Go to a national NBL or NASKA tournament and you'll find 13- 17yr olds tht can do some amazing kicks you'd never thought a human could do, and actually hurt you with them! You wanna make them Hunggar masters too? If a master can no longer can kick they way he used to does he STOP being a Master?

  • Comment removed

  • @rockloverdude Choy Li Fut is Choy Li Fut and Hung Gar is HungGar, to the uninitiated its all the same to them. Choy Li Fut has those amazing kicks for a Southern style becasue it's style made up of atleast 3 different styles which atleast one of them has a huge Northen kicking style influence. Its named for 3 men Choy, Li and "Fut" refers to a Shaolin Monk. I love when people think I'm too big to kick, The look on their faces after our matches is priceless!..Learn something.

  • @rockloverdude I believe you DONT have alot of experience in fighting or martial arts, or you'd know that high kicking really isnt that important enought to judge a person's kungfu on. Its a skill you invest countless hrs on perfecting and you get little back in reward So really, Who cares if Master Hamby can kick or Not? Hed be doing you a favor just kicking you,Youd be lucky not to get ripped apart by those Tiger Claws. Thats Hung gar's specialty as well as being rock solid

  • @bladesaint21 I actually have write a bit of experience, and yes I know !!

chill out man I just wanted to know if he could kick or not, cuz not most people of his size can you totally misread me. I don't mean to insult anyone, I just had a question.

and I'm not judging his Kung fu when the hell did I say I was.

  • @rockloverdude You dont even know most people his size. What you should say is most people his size that YOU know, can't kick, if thats even true. You still might get surprised. You should ask them to kick the hell out of you to find out.Youre generalizations are what get you in trouble. I'm martial arts etticute there is nothing more insulting that asking a master if he can do this or that. They dont perform on request like a carnival act.

  • @bladesaint21 omg I'm not generalizing him!! STOP READING TOO FAR INTO THIS!! GEEZ!!

I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF HE COULD KICK OR NOT! I MEANT NO DISRESPECT, I WAS COMPLETELY UNAWARE OF HOW I CAME ACROSS, SO LAY OFF!!!!

  • @rockloverdude Uhh..Ok..How bout them Phillies?!?!?.lmao.

  • @bladesaint21 haha well 74-40 really says it all

  • that's earthbending!

  • Kingpin...

  • "O'dell didn't have the time to block b/c he didn't know how" - LOL

  • looks pregnant

  • Don is grate fighter and a grate martial artist. very few posses his ability to adapt to anything that is thrown at them, He can do that efortlessly, and by no means is is slow, because when you play hands with him, you will get hit about 3-4 times before you are able to wake up and move, that's iif he does not want to hurt you.

  • Hung gar is not practiced fast, because the aim is to develope power and propper tecnique, but whe you fight, there are several key factors, speed, mobility, power, and most importantly timing. if your timing is off id does not matter on how hard you hit or how fast you panch, because you are not going to land anything. but with propper understanding and timing you can slow down a fast fighter and not get hit with strong punching. if prcticed deligently speed will come to you with time.

  • I notice Hung Fist practitioners got large arms. I could be the result of iron rings exercise. Apparently this guys got tremendous power and speed with their strikes.

  • King Kong the 21st century !!! What's that balck & white logo stands for ?

Nice vid, thanks for sharing !

  • it is not chinas most powerful system. it is chinas system with the most external workout, in that case muscleworkout.

... and i think dvds are less convincing if the so called sifu doesn´t even have a kung fu body in fact big daddy didn´t seem to care doing all of the hung gar exercises which are not only for armstrength cause the he would be a bit smaller ;)

  • @schulleee oh you mean like sammo hung? anyway, i think that he needs to balance his protien intake by minimizing his carbs. alot of chinese people are not built like this guys arms. you need to eat per pound, an ounce of protien daily to achieve tremendous muscle gain. anyway, sumo wrestlers eat sleep and crap wrestling and are the most dangerous fighters in the world. so what does that mean that this dude is fat? maybe he likes beer lol.

  • @opticannon

sammu hung is a potatoe too. besides that he is an actor, not a fighter.

and i don´t understand what you are trying to tell me with the chinese build and the protins ...

he doesn´t even have that much muscles he is just very faty.

and pretty much nobody who is good in kung fu looks like that. just because that bodysize is a huge disadventage.

and sumowrestlers are def. not the most dangerous fighters in the world. sumo is a sport not a fighting art.

  • @schulleee Speaking about "kung fu", nothing is a rule. because kung fu is not just one martial art, but several martial arts. Actualy, kung fu is all martial arts came from china. Talking about hung gar, hung gar is not a "explosive" and fast stile. Hung gar is much more about strenght.

  • @lugenocyber

i knew that kung fu was the general term for all chinese martial arts.

and yes, hung gar is mostly about strength but it doesn´t mean that it´s slow. and what i was trying to say is that the big guy looks only like he did weight workout + a bad diet nothing more. he is fatty and unagile. his arms are bend and point off the body when he leaves them hanging. he would get scrached serval times over his face before he could move his huge mass.

besides that loose flesh is easy to grab

  • @schulleee But it isnt a faster style too. But youre right. That man is too heavy.

  • @lugenocyber It depends. They have fast hand techniques too like the hang fist and the leak hand (one similar to the groin strike the lady just demonstrated but with a closed fist) and the whip punch (as Choy Li Fut may call it). Their hook or round house punch (whatever they may call it) and the upper cut (Tiger Raises Its Head) may not be a fast technique but it is meant to knock the opponent with its power behind the strike.

  • @lazaga777 What i was trying to say is: Compared to other martial arts style, hung gar, in general, is not a faster style. Of course there are fast techniques, or very fast fighters. But, what i was trying to say is about the style's caracteristics. Of course im not trying to say something bad. Actually, i am a hung gar student. Actually, this is the only martial art i practice. But, what im trying to say is about the hung gar's fighting focus. Understand?

  • @lugenocyber Not my style anyway. I just observe the similarities of their techniques with what I learned from Shaolin. And I noticed those similar fast techniques of Hung fist I usually used when I spar with a Wing Chun practitioner (friend of mine). It works for me. It could also work for you. Just stay out of their striking range. Use foot work, I think Hung's got better footwork. Don't get me wrong. I'm not boasting. What I'm driving at is that you can use your edge to your advantage.

  • INCROYABLE idiot message on this good video... His stance are strong and i think he can be doing more faster than other Hung Kuen guys i have seen befor. Big body or not nothing interest!

  • Its one thing to criticise this guy if you're in the same style, or even a different style if you think something might not be effective, but all these people who have nothing better to say then "he's fat"... come on. At least he's practising and teaching, while most of you are probably sitting home on your couch eating cheesy poofs. Grow up already...

  • @dkcarey1 Physical strength is NOTHING especially if you do not have inner strength.. I practice Hung Gar, my sifu is built in a similar way, he is fast and explosive (a big misconception is huge guys are can only use power).

  • @mansondevil33 did you mean to reply to me on this? as your comment seems to have no bearing whatsoever on what I posted. I've trained in both Tai-Chi and Hsing-Yi, as well as other external styles, so I know what internal energy is all about. My comment was in regards to people being childish and commenting on this Sifu's physical appearance, instead of constructively commenting on his style, technique, teaching ability, application, etc...

  • NERDS!!! but honestly that groin technique...pure gold lol!!!!

  • i like how people are like hes fat and im just sitting here thinking would you say that to his face HELL NO!LOL and hes not fat you fucking rejects hes buff and has a gut

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you sir are a big big man, I think your arms may be as wide as my head, just know I am intimidated, be proud

  • LIKE A ROCK

  • omg

  • Kung-fu tutorial for FAT people

  • omg ! the guy in the middle is huge! i feel like he will eat me!

  • Oh my god that girl has some crazy muscles. 0.0

  • he is massive! he looks like he could tear a man in half! anyway, nice hung gar there

  • What's with the costumes and bracers?... unnecessary enough.

  • @InevitableCommotion

its tradition, in most kung fu places they where that kind of thing, like in karate, they have to where those white outfits/robes.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi

Oh okay, sorry. It's just that they seem to look more intimidating in a wierd way.

  • @InevitableCommotion Those leather belts and wrist braces are leftover from the warrior days of armor swords and spears. A reminder of where the art came from.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi YEAH And BARE FEET, HOW MANY STOP TO TAKE OFF THEIR SHOES IN A FIGHT? or in Aikido wearing those long Black SKirts called hakama.

  • @bladesaint21

you fool, of course you dont wear them outside in a fight. but its tradition to wear them in the training schools as respect to the old masters. think this is what they used to wear hundreds of years ago.

you need to learn the value of respect and honour

  • @bladesaint21

ah wait.....i think i have misunderstood you, i looked at your other comments and i am sorry, i thought you were degrading the uniform how you wrote it and i am sorry.

  • @TheMartialartsJedi No Probelem. Cheers!

  • A guy with this size would convince me even ballet is deadly.

  • @joaoantoniodebarros hahah good one!

  • @joaoantoniodebarros

yes for sure to almost anyone otherwise.......be pressured by that harms and tear in half bro.

Cool style old ways but.... no play play or will get you smashed fish and fries.

  • @punhada What you say?

  • Lol the guy could play AB in the A-Team

This man is indeed a tank; his body combined with Hung Gar ... 0_o

  • he may be fat but i wouldnt wanna run into this guy in a dark alley lol

  • @thatvideoguy1993 He's probably a nice guy lol.

  • @jnconick183 ...after he kicks my ass .. :P

  • holy shit that guys got a gut!

  • @dmd54 That is not a gut its another fist lol.

  • This is from Hung Gar Kuen Sut Bak Fu Kuen, very nice by the way your horse stances are most impressive.

  • Excellent stance work. From correct stance work comes speed and power. Period.

  • Why are people like "he's fat"?

He looks like his could pick me up and roll me into a ball lol! Some people are just built like tanks! (This man is built like a battleship.)

  • @superlou1s i wonder if he knows shuai jiao....

  • @superlou1s he's strong but still grossly overweight. it will affect speed and stamina. he is a fat battleship. lots of guns but can sink easily too.

  • @ratchadapalazzo Battleships dont sink easy that why they built them in the first place moron.

  • Elbow technique is too slow. The rest of the techniques have too many holes. Empty gungfu.

  • stfu, u know nothing about hung gar. youd be layed out in seconds. gtfo. off this page

  • nice vid on hung gar

  • i like this style, i love a strong waza, but the bad thing about their stance is it almost garuntees they wont kick

  • they are very very fat

  • why he is so fat?

  • Because he eats guys like you for breakfast.

  • hahaha people dont seem to understand you dont have to look like stevan segal to fight like him, i bet in a match its very hard to land a punch

  • @soetsme Now that's something I want to see.

  • @soetsme Good one for those ignorant asses! THey'd Puss the fu*k out if they were in the same room with master Hamby.

  • @soetsme LOL nice one =)

  • He may not be super trim, but you can bet that he is likely very strong and can knock a person down or out with one strike.

  • @Sirio42 Masutatsu Oyama (Kyokushin Karate creator) was "fat" as well. Yet he could defeat 100 men, kill bulls with his fist, etc.

  • @Sirio42 haha he used to be skinnier.

thats his son right there...him and Rosa got good!!

Hamby Sifu is the real deal.He is an awsome Sifu who has deticated his life to Hung ga

  • @Sirio42 He is very fat, Looks like he don't practice nothing,

  • @furlong08857 Looks can be very deceiving, especially in martial arts.

  • Finally..some decent martial arts techniques on Youtube, lol

  • Well, in that case he should change his diet. i'm not very nutritious. And another question why they use that wrist?

  • extremely useful technique

  • ouais jolie a voir

  • Sifu Donald Hamby is wise man in martial art. I like Hungar style very much.

  • Sifu Hamby is a kung fu powerhouse. Much respect.

  • yes I agree these moves came from lau family, the elbow move was included from our basic form muy fah kuen. I am the descendant of lau family. btw tony gunshow lam and lau are close ties n the hung kue world. can we be friends?

  • that last set of moves, elbow tiger claw to groin and back fist is from my lau gar empty hand form. very cool. i train with a desendant of the Wing Lam family style of kung fu

  • It is Lau Gar Kuen. This particular video's full title is "Hung Gar Kung-Fu - Lau Gar Kuen."

  • These move are from Lau Gar Kuen
