That was a pretty corny scene...but for those who pointed out the "no smoke", he didn't appear to blow on it right (missed the top of the barrel), so this would've looked that way in real life. Either that or they had to re-film that scene and used smoke instead of firing another black powder blank from the revolver. Unique gunpowder doesn't even burn -quite- that dirty lol, but I'm surprised how many things in movies people -do- miss (Clooney's line in the American stating velocity in mph :|)
