yeah that's a PS2... BUT still a nice setup so no complaints regardless.... probably slightly more legal too.

A lot of arcade machines use Dreamcast or PS 2 Motherboards. So using a PS 2 for this to make an arcade is the right thing to do to make an acurate arcade.

Unfortunately it's not real.

It's just running on a PS2.

Real arcade Tekken 5 addicts would recognize it immediately by just the loading time. PS2 and arcade version has different loading times.

Besides the simple fact MAME can't play Tekken 5 in a playable state.

@stridervm accually i have got it to work on my mame system but not at its full content. i pached it to its full max but lags, and emulaton is'nt at its full. also that is why its in the non working section of mame right now, but i got tekken 4 to work all the way.

Yep I totally agree with you...MAME has a very hard time rendering 3d games. Just watch it trying to make Virtua Fighter work, it's like 30 frames per second. And doesn't Tekken 5 run on PS2 hardware even on the arcade version? This is probably some PS2 emulator or something, but it can't be MAME. PsychoCrusher could you show a video that has proof it is running on MAME?

Tekken 1 and 2 do work on MAME, except no sound. Tekken 3 works too but it's slow and no sound.

I highly doubt that is emulated. At most its one of the three..

-its the actual arcade board

-there are ways to hook up a ps2 with arcade sticks and an RGB arcade monitor.

-if that video is really output from a computer.. thats simply a video recording of tekken 5.

what the processing speed and video card requiriments to run the tekken 5 ROM and more importantly was this the standard mame engine or was it modified to support this game? Also if u could i have an older version of mame, could u post or lead me in the direction of where i can find a more updated version?
