My comment exactly!!!! You read my mind. However, check out some of the vids of him playing the piano and singing with Nana Mouskouri his songs...on YouTube. Worth listening to IMHO. Those were the days...I was too young to appreciate but now that I'm older & wiser...ha ha ha..thanks to YouTube...
Wow! They don't have music like this on cruise ships anymore. A 30 piece orchestra with strings! Don't give up on this, there are close-ups later in the clip. What a great band, too.
Nice comments. I was the music director on the Norway. That's my Orchestra backing up the GREAT Michel Legrand. I didn't know anyone else had the Video. I thought I had the only copy. I have the whole show. It's about an hour long. I was very pleased to see it on Youtube.
I've never had any desire to go on a cruise before, but if someone told me I'd get to see and hear this I would be there. I can't believe this whole thing was filmed in the open ocean...

He's such a g the way he steps away from the piano and directs like its nothing. What a badass.

Correct, a good singer; even if I do not like the sound of his voice at all he has good technique.
His son Benjamin is a good singer as well

Never rated Legrand as a singer, but as a pianist and composer he's excellent.
