Although Salvador Allende did have some baggage, I believe what he achieved for the Chilean economy was magnificent. He reduced the unemployment rate to 3.8%, increased industrial and agricultural production, increased minimum wage and decreased inflation by 22%, and improved housing conditions. What he did for Chile was great, but unfortunately the U.S had to end his presidency due to the fear of communism. Ugh the U.S govt is/was such a snake!

Allende was allowing Cubans to send thousands and thousands of assault rifles, grenades and SMGs to Chile (illegally) Castro stayed in Chile for a month supervising Allende and then the Soviets sent a delegation to keep supervising him. Allende was a puppet elected with a 36% of the votes
