This is a prime example of why you should seek out a reputable doctor to do this kind of surgery. Hair transplants have come a long way since the days of hair plugs and a result like this is just tragic. Patients should also not go overboard and expect the hair line they once had in middle school because it's not going to happen and it's a recipe for disaster for trying. It wouldn't look natural anyway.

What's there is growing and viable. Needs another 5000 grafts by someone who knows how to blend. This is sparse but repairable, you should see the messes Cole and Umar fix. This is an EASY fix for that team.

Those grafts look like they are much larger than follicular-units, so it is doubtful that the procedure was done with FUE. However, this video illustrates the need for an artistic hairline approach, regardless of the hair transplant technique used. As others have mentioned, this unfortunate result could be REPAIRED using FUE/NeoGraft.

I've had two transplants by a doctor in San Diego. I'm pretty happy because my hair looks great! I can't reccomend her because I don't know your case so I couldn't know if it will work for you as it worked for me.

Word of advise? find someone who has had a good HT and ask him for his doctor like I did: my coworker went too close on the back of his head and I saw his fine donor scar so I asked him and he refered me to my doctor; best decision of my life.

Keep in mind, as I said that every case is unique. Follicular unit extration works best for people who don't need that much transplanted hair. Strip is for more hair at one time. Both of my procedures have been strip. Down side? that i can't go too short on the back. I think transplants work best for people with enough donor hair and who use propecia to prevent further hair loss. I don't feel confortable 'promoting' my doctor here but if you want her name she is DR KAHN, off frost up the 163

More: I've noticed HT's on people who were totally bald from the top and forehead and since it is a large area it is very hard to make it look natural. Not a bad job, just too large of an area, and since the natural density can not be recreated, I can fore see an unhappy patient. Im very happy with my HT because I kept my expectations reasonable. Evaluate yourself, if you are a hard to please customer in general, ANY work performed on your person will be substandard in your eyes.

My donor area was the back of my head. I don't think Dr Khan uses body hair, not her practice. But my hair grows like the rest of my hair because it is hair that was at another area of my scalp. I dont know if I answered your question. Feel free to ask me more. When I say too short I mean like mayke 3/8 of an inch and shorter you might see a little bump. The first transplant was 1500 grafts and the second was 1000. The doctor worked off the same scar so you only see one line.

Wrong bald doesnt look as good as having more hair on your head. Being bald makes look older and fatter. I've had 5000 grafts put in with the conventional strip method and although I dont have a full head of hair, it looks pretty close sometimes especially on top. After each surgery a patient needs to be very carefull not to over stress himself during the first week in order to maintain the grafts. This guy either had a bad surgeion or did stupid things after the surgery
