I'm with you. Although it started strong, it finished very poorly and left too many unanswered questions. Vehicles and weapons were also very limited. Hell, ya couldn't even buy a house.
On the other hand, IGN gave MGS4 a 10, and I whole heartedly agree with that.
Yes, it does. However, I think that the reviewers shouldn't show a degree of personal bias. Bioshock recieved a 9.5/10, which is very high, but I found it to be unfair, especially compared to the perfect rating that GTAIV got. I think that the reviewers chickened out on giving it less than perfect, because so many people were expecting a 10. They recently gave Far Cry 2, a GREAT game, a 7. That is garbage. However, they gave Fallout 3 a 10, derservingly. I don't get the way they choose these.
I would have given it higher if they had a number of things that they were missing. They didn't seem to have improved the weapon selection AT ALL, and even took a few weapons away, like the heat-seeking RPG and the silenced pistol. And how about a machine gun?! Secondly, the ending, which I found disappointing, in the way they have you decide over two very influential characters, who lives and dies, and the anti-climatic finish. I also would've liked the Hunter from the previous 3 games.
yeah i agree that theyy could've made the game better but didnt? idk why but maybe they had a deadline and they ran to close so to fix major bugs or something they cut back on doing those things that couldve made the game better? but if thats the case then why couldnt they just release it with bugs then put an update on xbl?
Maybe. They may have run short on polishing time, but still there were a handful of less-than-entertaining things that replaced otherwise fun activities in the other games. I hated the fact that there were no Vigilante missions or Rampage activities. Sure, you could phone a friend a go to a caberet or a restaurant, but why have hit man missions or any source of non-campaign related action in a free-roaming action game. Honestly, it seems they sucked the fun and entertainment out of the series.

yeah it depends on: who in general (by in general i mean what person) is rating it, how they rate it, and what people think about it
