Is that chinese-y cymbal sound in the later segment from the electric set? It sounds surprisingly awesome if that's the case. And if it's not from the electric, I want to know what cymbal it is =P
I've seen the movie, but I haven't read the books yet.
@CloudVaris That "chinese-y cymbal" is actually me making a "stchaaa" sound with my mouth (in the clips of me hitting a pillow and opening my mouth). It's the closest to beat-boxing that I have come to so far...hahaha I try to make everything that you hear visible at least one in the video (ala Jack Conte style).
I hope you liked the movie! :) It doesn't end the same as the book, though, because audiences liked a more hopeful ending. The book's ending is sad, but perfect.
@CloudVaris It's amazing what some EQ and Reverb can do! ^_^ I just put that stuff on and went to town. I loved the "cymbal" sound, but the pillow was barely coming through...you can ALMOST hear it in the final recording :( Not much else I could do...hahaha
You did a really good job. The transition at about 1:00 where you went from back-up to front man (lol) was a little weird. Was excited at the end. Couldn't to see how you did the percussion w/ the pillow.
@lennit Not too jarring. Looks my comment went twice. lol. Ended up w/ a page change somehow (already forgot how lol) and couldn't tell it went to I recommented.
You did a good job. The transition from you singing backup straight to you singing the lyrics w/o an instrument in between was a little weird. Got excited at the end cause i had to see how you did the percussion w/ the pillow there. lol
Interesting, and well done ^^
Love the drum and the shirt.

@lennit XD I see. I'm not sure how I missed that last night. It's a little painfully obvious, watching it now. Sounds good, though!

@sep780 Yeah, I was hoping the cut to the main vocals wouldn't be TOO jarring . It does make you go "woah, what happened?" at least :) hahaha
