It is not only with sports my friend, as a physics student I'm beginning to see the darker side of the academic area. Research is solely funded by the government, EPA, DOD, DOE, ect. Professors and students must alter their research to fit government ideologies or they will not get funded. The government has shipped all manufacturing jobs overseas, and we have no choice but to take up government jobs, government jobs which pay better benifits and salaries, they are reeling us in like fish.

Rhode Island is considering legalizing marajuana to compensate for having the worst unemployment in the country. It wouldnt surprise me if the whole country didnt shift in this direction, ultimately adding to the sedated mindset of the people.
