I've worked off shore and the deck hand was awesome alone!! The crane operator keep the hook in the water so the chains did hurt him very dangerous working in any surge Manson rules lol
thats not rough sea?hell..that is anchor handling..for anchor job even half a meter would make cursing is only known language on deck..anchor job is so tiresome..used to pickup 8 anchor in 1 day..pushed to the limit..I just wish death at the time..
This deckhand is on a suicide mission; alone on deck, crane hook swinging all over him, boat hook caught on his work vest, inside the bight of the soft line… glad to see he’s still in one piece when the boat pulled out.

That was definately a calm day you are having a rough day when stairwells crumple up and 10-15 footers on crewboats
forddieselguy007 2 years ago
That looks only like 3 to 4 foot seas.... not rough at all. But be glad it wasn't rough that day.

Having worked offshore I give a pat on the back to a lot of crane drivers. If they stuff up, everything stuffs up.

Dude on the stern has his head on straight though. Awesome to see him work like that under those conditions. That is the way I like it!

Wow, that is some verry dangerous work.

It's dangerous if you do it like that. The owners and charterers of that boat really need to get their houses in order, it's verging on negligence.
