Hell yeah I was enjoying in your vid bro. I see youre kind like me where no weather will kick me ota woods. Good going with fire and thanks for sharing it with us.
If you're gonna practice you're survival skills in CO high country anytime in the next 5 mo. you're gonna want more polar fleece and under armour, CC skies or some snow shoes, and a light weight packable snow scoop for trenches & caves. Some good glacier glasses are critical too. Snow blindness is NOT good. Oh...and LOTS of extra lip balm / chap stick. Some of the views from way up high on a clear winter day will totally blow you away!! Be well, have fun!
Hey there "soggy survivalist" ;) Nice fire, glad you're get'n along OK in the wet wet rain. Have fun with your friend in Colorado. I lived on the front range between Denver and CO Sprgs. for about 20yrs and drove all over the state and the surrounding ones as a courier for 5 or 6yrs. Where else in the lower 48 do you find a single state with 54 peaks that reach or exceed 14,000 ft. ??California comes in 2nd place with a grand total of 6. Enjoy that altitude dude.
@finaltom5 How could I forget last winter or the one before that? Got my cold weather gear coming from storage. I'll never forget being in Strawberry Mountain Wilderness in that freaking cold in a-not-so-proper shelter. Nevertheless, I'll never forget the travel and good times!
I need to get aquainted with candles....I can see where they would be useful.

@casmoneansthefourth tea light candles are good too. You can use them for fire starter, waxing steel, and warmth.
