Girls in China in ancient times were made to do this... but not now. She was portrayed to have a mans features. She was a woman in a man's world at that time.
it's a simple movie.... why do ppl have to complicate things..... it shows that if you're held down...you can rise above it...she was a girl in a mans world...she showed she can be just as great as any man...so stop complicating things..!!!!!!
